First Dbxl upgrade!! The grub screw I talk about when i put the diff together replaces the original bleeder screw from the stock diff sorry I lost that clip.

@@chefbeardsly I did it I did it. I tore down the rear end and and got into the diff, I stuffed that thing with as much marine grease as it could fit. Way tighter now. I did not loctite anything as I'll be back in that area to replacement some parts. The brake assembly gove me the shits but I managed. It was fiddly but a few hours with hand tools and I got there 😎

Curious to see how the 23cc performs with a good pipe. I have the losi 5ive t, been wanting the DBXL for a while now, might pull the trigger soon.
@chefbeardsly4 жыл бұрын
I can say I like it so far I dont have a running video yet but will soon the weather has sucked but i took it out for a little rip and it seems to be pretty good but I'm going to puy a 31.8 cc in it at some point
@CavaleraForPrez4 жыл бұрын
@@chefbeardsly right on! Ya I'm sure I'll eventually throw the zen g320 in there, the bartolone pipe should be good for both of those engines, which is cool👌

Hey man was wondering if you have had your diffs apart since you put the Hot racing diff cups in. I put them in my dbxl 2.0 and the spider gears are rubbing the inside of the cups. I wish I could add a picture so it would make more sense
@chefbeardsly2 жыл бұрын
i have not had them apart but now im curious lol maybe ill do a live stream one day soonish and take a look
@Dbxlboy2.02 жыл бұрын
@@chefbeardsly I wouldn't be surprised if the diff fluid has shavings in it. That's how mine are. No shims behind the gears so they chew into the cup ☹️
@SebastianLong3 жыл бұрын
Wasn't till very recently since I've got interested in the DBXL. I have the Losi 5ive T and the manual shows in detail on how to remove literally everything as well as every setting like shock oil, camber settings, brake settings etc etc. Doesn't the DBXLs manual have the same style book? Unfortunate if it doesn't as the manual for the 5T makes everything look like a cakewalk.
@chefbeardsly3 жыл бұрын
I think it does but I never really looked at it that much lol
@chefbeardsly3 жыл бұрын
but i do enjoy this buggy a lot the pipe i installed woke the motor up
@SebastianLong3 жыл бұрын
@@chefbeardsly That's what people say about the 5T as well, but I'm happy with the pep it's got now. If I were going to want more speed, I would buy a bigger engine for it with the pipe. Like the ALX 85cc. Lol. Little overkill for it, but if I'm going to do it, might as well do it big.

Why would you want thicker rear oil over there the front

Just helps lock up the rear a little so it doesn't diff out as often
