Installing my paddle tires on to my 1/5 scale rc car was a challenge as the first wheel took the longest & I did it incorrectly on the first try as you’ll see in this video but this is how we learn I
Could have edited it out but showing the mistakes help others not to make them as we all learn the hard way and the East way hope this video help thanks for watching

Brings back painful memories of fitting Hostile hard compound tyres to Baja and 5T wheels... There is no better way Earl, you can soften the tyres in warm water prior to fitting, makes them a touch more flexible. Other than that, a firm grip is all you've got.... Be prepared for aching fingers after doing a set of 4. 😉 May be worth using bolt through screws on the outer beadlock, they make one hell of a bang if one lets go.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah it was a pain to put these on. I bought a second set of foams and wheels to never do this again. But you are so right well worth the effort. It was a blast to run on paddles.

Might have to grab a set of these for my dbxle. I'll have to look up some of your running videos on it. I'm ordering some either 2" or 1" dgi extenders and gonna try running my 8s back flip tires on this as well

I would get another set of wheels and foams to mount stock tires on, so your not doing this every time you want street tires on, but does look awesome with paddle tires on. Great video!!

You could line the old tires with Gorilla tape to strengthen them up some. Great video. Those paddle tires look great.

That looked tough you should buy new foams and wheels. So you can have both set ready to go when you want to Chang them

Thanks for this! I did mine and ran into the same issues my arms were sore. I found a 100pc stainless screw kit on amazon for like 11 bucks too when i put them back. Dont over tighten can u can snap the beadlock rim.

I've got a DBXL-E V1 & LOVE it but a old man has a hard time lugging it around. Your camber setting or toe looks good my doesn't, how do I set that.? I can't seem to get the wheel nuts off either. I'm afraid I'm going to snap them off. Any suggestions would be helpful. Can't wait to see the Roostertail it's going to make. Thanks for the video!

I use an impact gun as I show at the end of this video installing them I agree 1/5 scale is a handful to move around for sure 👍👍💯💯💯

@@earlmoorhead5555 np , I actually owned them for long time , proline sling shots and Mohawks, I need another set of paddles tho bc mohawks are for 2wd but think gives drive train little break , stupid me i didn't change rtr servo thing is horrible, crashed broke hinge pin no big deal right , well seems any part we need always on back order , i like buying 2 same rigs for this reason . Get itch play one car or another than not have parts fix , ik drives you crazy too 😜

You were saying you wanted to try these on the SBR 2.0. When you do, what hex are you using? Does the 24mm Hex off the DBXLE fit the SBR 2.0?

I like the 1/5 scale rc better just because of the size but to daily use an rc smaller is better 👍👍💯💯💯

Ran great I sent it off the big jump but the paddle are rough on the landing keeps breaking the steering rod ends 🔥🔥🔥
