Great stories man! I just lost my Open Sea wallet today so I know the mini panic attack feeling lol. I of course retraced my steps, walked back to my Camaro and looked in there. Nothing. Called my wife to see if I left it on the kitchen counter. No answer. She was asleep. Great. So I left work to head to the house. Called the bank to put a hold on my cards. Sunday….closed….got home. Guess what’s sitting exactly where I left it. 🤣 I was just accepting that I lost it and in my mind picking out a color combo for a new open sea. Whew! avoided that tragedy.

Nothing extreme- lost my juice s2 the night I moved out of my old house. I had gone back to the old house late at night to finish up a patch job. It was late, and of course dark. When I got home I realized I didn’t have it in my pocket. I figured it was gone. About 6 months later, I was deep cleaning my car. Underneath the passenger seat, WAY up underneath- was my Juice S2! I was so excited! 😂

I have always carried my main knife in my back right pocket. For the past 15 years. I agree that it looks better. Funny thing is though that the last knife i lost was an ultratech 2 years ago that i was carrying in my front pocket. The nice thing about Striders is the super stiff retention on the pocket clips. My SnG will never fall out of my pocket

Good stories with happy results. I hear more and more stories like this and also lost my very first spyderco while clipped on, so I have stopped using the pocket clip unless I am working on a project that I will be constantly using it for, then I just put it deep in my front right pocket.

I lose stuff all the time, but usually find it later. My favorite carry for a while has been a large blue hex Sebenza 21 and a GEC 77 clip point. I lost the 77 for about a week, then realized the Sebenza was missing, too. I destroyed our vehicles, house, office at work, many other places at work, called places I had been, etc. for about a month. I was absolutely sick. I eventually found them both in a pocket in a duffel bag from a trip with my wife. Apparently, I swapped knives one day on the trip and that’s where I put them. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Always so good to hear from you brother. I once drove home from a day out , with a 940 under the hood of my car. It was covered in antifreeze. I sat it under the hood when working on the car. I ran outside later on when I remembered. It was still right there. I was lucky. Lol.

Man KZfaq has failed me big time bro! I haven’t seen you pop up in my feed in a while now and I was looking up some GEC stuff today and landed on one of your videos and the I went down the rabbit hole lol I have never actually lost a knife but I’ve had close calls such as them getting snagged on seat belts and coming out of my pocket. I think the most expensive knife I ever carried was a Marfione Custom and it was always on the back of my mind that I could lose it. My dad lost a Damascus Delica I gave him a few years ago and my best friend lost a Kershaw I gave him.

I'm so glad these ended happily! I just had a scare with my Benchmade 943. I was hazmat training and it was gone when I got home that night. I had to drive back the next morning to look for it. It was in the glove of the cass A suit. It must have gotten snagged when taking it off. So thankful to find it as they are disconinued.
