It is always scary to have any medical emergency, but when it comes to losing vision, it feels even worse.
Nothing necessarily hurts, but the unknown and frustration can create panic.
The good thing is that we are in Turkey, and going to the doctor in Turkiye is probably the best thing that can happen compared to other countries.

to put it perspective currently minimum wage in turkey is 5500 TL since july after the all the cuts. so 420 TL is close to 1/13th of minimum wage.

Wow! in the US, it would have cost $300 at least for each of us with an average salary of $2000-$2500 a month. The price of health care and health insurance in the U.S. is insane.

@@TheMamuchos the surgery would be another can of worms but at least checkups with specific doctors eye, dentist, etc rather cheap

Thanks for your condelences, I (Jordi) have been wearing glasses since I was 11, so, you can guess how bothering it can be, specially in travel, beach, sports...:( Anyway, wishing you and Nala a speedy recovery! Glasses aren't activity friendly for sure. I've (Maria) worn them since I was 14, a pain! We need to connect guys, and have a beer and vent a bit, so we all can feel stronger after it. Thank you so much for your wishes and deal, but we want more Lifetime Travelmates adventures too.

Next video will be up Tuesday 😉 Nala was getting better and a couple of hours ago she vomited We are planning to restart our travels tomorrow so let's see what happens, one thing is for sure. Sorry to hear that your eye has been causing you so much trouble, Lieles. Hope you have a speedy recovery 🙏 I hated wearing glasses so much that I got laser surgery. I hated having that limited filed of view. I always find it very funny how eye doctors just expect you to be able to hold your eyes open for indefinite amounts of time haha like its so normal to sit the for 3 minutes with a thing in your eye 😆

Yes, she's big. She got worse last night so we have been in the vet and animal hospital all day. Lieles is getting accustomed to the dark circle. He needs to get checked in a month again. Thank you so much

try swimming in the sea with your eyes open everyday see if it helps cool cat btw, a cat that does stuff , the dog is a good influence

Aww it's tough. I just got an eye exam last year and got glasses for working at the computer and for editing. It's tough when you've never worn glasses but does help with a lot of symptoms. Loved the place I went to but that was in the US haha. And we can RELATE in getting in out own way when it comes to content. I don't know if this will help you but Kamau always reminds me (or us) there are people who literally put up content about them cleaning a toilet and get views haha. Clearly we do a bit more in our videos than that, so we shouldn't be holding ourselves back.

Gracias Roxie! He is getting accustomed to the eye circle but it will take time. In one month, we have to repeat all the exams. Wish us luck!

Wow all those exams for $22, that's incredible. Just like Lieles I don't like wearing glasses and I'm suppose too, only been to the eye doctor when I was 19, will have to travel to Turkey to visit the eye doctor lol.
