Sawyer is perhaps my favorite survivor in the early seasons of this show. Much like John or Jack, its the perfect mix of solid writing and great casting / acting that breathe him to life so wonderfully.

It's like the whole episode is a long con to the audience haha such a great episode, and great reactions!

Sawyer is by far the most dangerous person in that group, he is a con man yet he is also capable at killing if needed to and he really isn't a bad guy you can notice he cares about certain people little by little we are seeing it and he does love Kate. Smart person who plays others yet can kill if they have to is very capable person vs the others ZEKE better watch out!!

I'm pretty sure "the big guy behind Sayid" wasn't Hurley. Just another big guy extra. I just don't see Hurley joining an army.

i remember when i watched lost for the first time when i was like what? 13-14? and i used to be in love with sawyer lmao he's still one of my favorite survivors. his character is just so complex with such great writing and acting, it's amazing

The Sawer thing just seems so… season one. I don’t think his ark changed him that much, but I don’t think he’d do something like that without a bigger reason. Also, the ending with Hurley and Sayid really made me think of Dr Who! It’s the same song as “the doctor dances,” and the talk about time? But I think this was first, so…

So everyone thinks Sawyer makes an altruistic play with his long con? That's virtuous playing those that have helped him with his injuries? Especially, Jack?

What Sawyer did was dumb. It was really idiotic. I'm not saying that he was a bad con man. But his reasoning for pulling off this con was stupid beyond belief. He had a right to be angry at Jack for going into his tent and taking the pills. But when Sawyer had complained about the other castaways taking his stuff after he left the island on Michael's raft . . . that only proved to me that he was about as mature as a petulant 8 year-old. Did he really expect his fellow castaways to leave his belongings alone after he had left the island with Michael, Walt and Jin. No one had expected them to return. Had he expected them to keep his tent and belongings alone, as some kind of shrine to him or something?

Great episode.

I don't feel that way at all. When people do bad things, I don't like them for it. I like Sawyer when he is actually being nice and caring about others, so you can imagine I hate him in the early episodes.
