Wasn't included in these reaction highlights, but I love that moment right after the monster knocks out Richard and tosses him over his shoulder, then turns around and points a finger at the Others and just says, "I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN ALL OF YOU". It's just so paternalistic and patronizing and dismissive. Cracks me up. Terry O' Quinn is the greatest. Watch Patriot.

Eric is me during the Jack and Locke convo. just TEARS. I think we feel the same way about John. I love that. ALSO MIB's MONOLOGUE ABOUT LOCKE. makes me sad. and it's so SO wonderfully done by Terry. That LOOK. A look you would NEVER see on Locke himself.

The most unbelievable part of this entire series is that it's the middle of the day, at LAX, and somehow I'm expected to believe that the bathroom is completely empty. 0/10 for realism.

I know that everyone praises Terry O'Quinn to the sky. But one of the things about "LOST" that I really enjoy is that the cast consists of a large number of first-rate performers, other than O'Quinn or Michael Emerson. Including Matthew Fox, who has knocked it out of the ballpark since the very first episode. Speaking of Fox, or Jack Shephard, I wish someone would explain to the latter that Juliet and Sayid's deaths were not his fault. In regard to Juliet, I blame Stuart Radzinsky and his experiments. I believe the Losties were sent to 1977 to stop Radzinsky and the Dharma Initiative's experiments regarding the island's source of energy. Sayid was responsible for his own brief death. He would not have found himself in that situation if he had not attempted to kill Ben when the latter was a child.

It is an absolute sin that "The Leftovers" wasn't as talked about as it was when it was airing. And even today there are pretty much no reactions of that show. Definitely in my top three shows of all time.

I still think it's funny when Sayid is being healed in the spring, and everyone is shouting "What are you waiting for! Pull him out!" Like, obviously the GIANT hourglass they just turned over. I get that they are concerned, but come on...

You guys just made me realize that the number 1 question I'd like to ask JJ or Damon at some point is "If Terry O'Quin didn't want to do the show, who was your next choice?" I really can't imagine anyone else in the part. Maybe Brian Cranston? I know Michael Keton was originally the idea for who to play Jack.

Bryan Cranston probably wouldn't have been considered. He wasn't really viewed as a serious actor until Breaking Bad, when Lost first aired he was mostly just known for his role in Malcolm in the Middle. Not the kind of actor most people would cast in a role like John Locke, which is why his casting as Walter White was so genius

I started to feel bad for the others this season. Jacob knew what was going on leading up to his death and he didn't bother cluing any of his followers in. Jacob is an asshole honestly, which made me wonder whether the man in black was the bad guy or not for a chunk of the season.

The man in black literally just wanted to go off the island to see what else there is. That was before he became the black smoke. Jacob sucks and put a bunch of people through horrible stuff just to try and prove a point. He should’ve let his brother leave. I feel bad for man in black to some extent

@@justindaniel3273 given everything he does, I'd say it's hard to feel sympathy for the monster. But before he became the monster yeah he was definitely the most sympathetic. Jacob is a monster too though. He is responsible for a loooot of death. Along with every other shitty thing the others do. The reason the man in black is the antagonist only boils down to him wanting to kill our protagonists.

Help! - OK someone here has to know because I looked on the internet and couldn't find a trace. I went to watch the full length reaction , and my copy , which is recorded from the original broadcast was different , they had taken out some scenes and put them infront of others. so yea googling around I couldn't find any trace of the changed , or even that there were alternate version of LA X part 2. I thought I was going crazy this is how people blame the Mandela effect!

It has all the same scenes but in different order , maybe even more extended scenes in my version. But why has it essentially been re-edited? Now telling the whole episode differently. And which is the preferred version.. I imagine it SHOULD be the Blu-ray, but the fact that I can't even find on the internet any information about the re-edit/re-order is quite annoying.

The 2 part episodes were often shown back to back (like LA X or Live Together, Die Alone) in the US. For international releases the full length episodes had to be cut into 2-parters. That's why they cut out some of the scenes, or some of the scenes are shown out of order. Got really pissed when the finale was cut heavily, it was like a complete different episode.

The only thing that really bothers me about these Lost reactions is that Eric just can't shut up. It's a constant jabbering and very off putting. Yes, we know you love the show. We all do. But damn, we don't need a constant monologue. He's already given away too much info and he's come very close to just giving away everything. Like damn, let Rick watch the show, throw in some comments here and there, and let Rick figure stuff out and make his own conclusions.

Calling it a "flash sideways" is a deliberate lie and telling Rick not to think of what else it could really be is what made so many people hate the ending when they realized what is really was. It "appears to be" an alternate reality as if the plane had never crashed on the island but there are discrepancies. I very very much do NOT like what it turned out to be.

"Flash Sideways" is the official name for it in the community (just like "The Man in Black.") Frankly I don't understand what so many people dislike about it; it's a way to provide closure to a lot of characters (i.e. Locke, Charlie, Daniel, Jin and Sun, etc.) who deserve closure they didn't get in their lives. In a normal show, I'd agree that it's strange and off-putting, but Lost has been about the supernatural and mysticism from day 1 (smoke monster in the pilot), and considering how much we see of the afterlife from characters like Hurley and Miles, it's not much of a stretch to see the afterlife in the show. If nothing else, the scene in the finale between Ben and Locke outside the church makes the whole thing worth it for me. One of the best scenes in the show.

@@firstenforemost I wouldn't really call it official, since the term didn't come from the writers/show runners/network. It came from the fans themselves who, at the time, knew as much as Rick does now. So how is it a lie? It's just an expression people used to distinguish it from the previously seen flash backs and flash forwards. Get over it.
