What three beautiful wonderful ppl! Ppl dont realize how difficult life was in many ways back then. It was wonderful but there were so many societal taboos. So many "secrets" not spoken of. I remember going to a bridal shower when I was about 8 or 9 yrs old. There was another little girl there. Now I realize that her mom was white but her dad was black. Back then, I just knew she was different from me. Ppl were whispering about her and I felt bad so I went up and said hi to try and make her feel welcome. My mom encouraged it bc I lived in the city and had friends of all ethnicities. But ppl just stared at us like we had three heads. Her poor mom who obviously loved her daughter didn’t say much. Ppl were whispering that her mom said her daughter was Italian bc she was darker. Recall, it was illegal in many states back then to be married if you were from two different races. I can't imagine the shame heaped on those two innocent ppl, one a mom who loved her daughter and one an innocent child. I loved my childhood but Im so happy many things have changed. I'm so happy for this couple and their daughter. God meant them for one another. All Gods blessings 🙏🙏🙏

It reminds me of the Biblical version all over again how God intervenes on behalf of families to reunite them again, just like He did Joseph and his brothers. Each event is different, but God is always faithful and working everything out for our good and His glory!!!

While, yes, it had a happy ending, imagine what it was like for those people, growing up, not really knowing where and how the others are, years of questioning, the agony. It certainly ended well, but parents forcing people to give up their baby and separating them, tragic.
