Yes Season 2 was really quite a lull after the first few episodes. It's the Smith/Will/Robot hour with nothing but Smith going WHAOOOOOAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!! Still this show harkens me back to the 70s and my childhood.

Dave, I can’t believe you just ignored Uncle Angus! While he looked like a rehash of the “skunk cabbage” monster, the Banshie screaming and crying, with effects added made him the scariest monster in season 2! Great audio effects!

I just watched this episode again. Always enjoyed it. I must say one thing. NOWHERE in the episode did I get the impression that the warp went thru TIME. Whether the Scottish castle is actually on the real, physical Earth, or some ghostly parallel dimension aside, it always seemed to me, it was in the "present day" that the story took place in. Even Hamish says the castle's fallen on bad times over the last several hundred years!

0:33. All that stuff you have lying around in the background sort of reminds me of Mr. Keema's secret lair in "The Golden Man". 1:07. Stargazer is tearing up the furniture there, Mr. B! BTW, no more "Canva" ads, please. I am sick of them. 2:20. The seaweed monster had two heads in "The Raft". 3:49. There is an episode where Smith actually does this "mi mi mi mi mi" thing. I cannot remember which one. 5:59. Stargazer's facial expression. Even she knows when you've laid an egg. Hey, now there is a Hulu ad. With one of the Schmeerskahoven guys. I got to use that word again! 9:52. Stock footage film festival? That is a term I stole from a Simpsons episode, BTW. 10:50. There are continuity gaffes because there is no canon because of what you are saying right now. "I dinnuh come here to be insulted!" You left out another good line of dialogue! 15:07. This is the famous "Guy Williams said his lines through a pay phone in a phone booth at a golf course because he was playing golf that day" scene. 15:11. Another "Where did that luggage come from?" scene. Going back to Medieval Scotland by mistake could be the basis for an episode of "Voyagers". The "Will Robinson Magic". The only reason why the show was still on the air at this point. 20:35. Snidley Whiplash. A "Dudley Dooright" crossover? 21:03. Someone stole Mr. Keema's hamburger head!

I agree fully with your criticisms of this show! The annoying misbelief of Will’s stories, (after seeing all manners of craziness before)! Will was always a scientific kid, never one with “crazy imagination”! I was amazed when Don, of all people, originated the theory of the planet being supseptable to “dimensional doors” opening up during storms!!! Really? Where did you pull that out of your butt, Don? Then you mock Will when he said that is what happened? Then it all disintegrates with more dumb sub-plots!! Smith going back to send a rescue party?

just because the plaque read what year the execution took place does not mean that was the year that he arrived at that placard could have been there for all of those years and he might have been in the present day, what's he going to see at night over the ocean over one view besides the waves breaking against the rocks, he probably was in present day there's nothing to prove or disprove it, to assume he was just in the year that Hamish died it's just assuming it for no reason. I think you glossed over a lot of great parts of this episode and didn't show a lot of relevant more Gothic scary moments and didn't nod to the great acting, with gusto I might add, by mcclory. After seeing this review I could think was well, not all I could think but one of the things I thought was, you getting tired of this every episode is starting to sound the same you're on a rant about Dr Smith and the Robinsons yada yada blah blah blah etc etc so maybe take more as it episode by episode thinking it like that instead of comparing it to what they did or what they should to be doing or what they're going to do. I don't know just a suggestion but I enjoyed this episode immensely and just as immensely I uninstalled the review you did. I never thought I would say that! I like most of your stuff, and spend more time with f troop on each episode instead of half the length of a Lost in space review period though I know the show is longer by half an hour f troop deserves more than you've been giving it but you've been giving it a lot and I appreciate it. But give it more.I couldn't agree with you more though about the flip-flopping of do we or don't we believe will b*******. I mean come on, every other episode they repent from not believing him and then every other episode they say it's ridiculous to believe him, so I'm sure we'll grow up a stuttering fool and the Robinson parents will grow to be inconsistent as well as incontinent grandparents upon grandparents, grandparents.

I agree with Dave’s ultimate criticisms, this episode goes NOWHERE! It is more than bad SciFy writing, this would be bad writing for Gilligan’s Island!! I can see places where I could have been made better, but it’s not even worth the effort!!

The teaser for the next week….Why would they have those stupid costumes and props stored on the Jupiter 2? (Gilligan’s Island Syndrone),!! Why would they use the same, lame non-movable Mardi-Gras monster head mask for 2 different creatures in just a few episodes apart? Why do I even care, since THEY obviously don’t??

My friend in Wales and I discussed LIS story by story awhile back. Midway thru season 1, we both concluded that the Robinsons had a MATTER REPLICATOR, as seen on DEEP SPACE NINE. It was the only logical explanation. Guess what? Halfway thru season 2, we were proven RIGHT! They did have such a device, it looked just like a freezer chest with a strap on it to hang around the Robot's neck. Among other things, it was used to duplicate Thor's gloves. Presumably, it was used to create spare parts, but I suspect it could also be programmed to create ANY kind of object they could design.
