I honestly was thinking that was happening when it became obvious the Bruce Wayne arriving was a previous actor not Keaton/Affleck. Obviously Bale would be top pick of the 3 to choose from then Clooney makes sense he's a pretty cool fun guy who probably did the cameo out of genuine love/fun and not a paycheck. Then absolutely no one would've cared for Kilmer and that's no diss he's actually a decent actor just not as Batman 😂. And George has even made fun of his Batman like us so it made sense as a decision and a joke within the joke.

IMO they should’ve used the same cast but give it a better sense of tone and direction under James Gunn instead of a whole reboot smh. Warner Bros wasted the years we could’ve have of Henry Cavil, Ben Affleck, and Gal as the Iconic Trio. They could’ve at least reached Darkseid War before rebooting.

The Batman played by Michael Keaton is very touching. All the memories of previous performances have been brought back. All the equipment, Batmobile, Batplane, and Batcave, made me feel more youthful after watching it. Although the tight equipment seems very old, but He didn’t lose against aliens at all. He showed his personal technical & wisdom. He is so handsome to use all the machines. The Flash had a line, “I really need you to be Batman.” Excellent, and the martial arts scenes are also very strong,although he died in the battle in the end. But is still worth watching multiple times，this is collective memory. In the movie, his relationship with The Flash is more like a father-son relationship. He is a helper in everything and is very responsible. So warm ,also shows his style, calm and rational, and shows the spirit of justice. He sacrifices himself to save the world. Among the many movies this year, this Batman desperately fighting aliens is the character that moved me the most. Trust me

I'm sorry, but the multi-verse scene wasn't touching, it was ghoulish. Taking the images of dead guys, or guys whose careers have ended and sticking them in your movie is one of the things actors are fighting for with the current strike. George Reeves got type cast as Superman and found almost no work after that. Christopher Reeve's estate at least got asked for approval but I can't imagine he would have been happy with it. Man this film was a travesty, it deserved to crash and burn, and hopefully James Gunn goes down with that stinking ship for making it even worse by making the film total irrelevant with his "vision" announcement before the last four movies were out.

I would’ve love the Thomas Wayne version of flashpoint. The letter to Bruce is a chef’s kiss for the ending. My imagination for a Batman beyond would’ve been Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, but they can’t happen anymore 😢

It would have been a great way to give Henry Cavill some good Superman moments as well as a send off from the DCU. A real missed opportunity. Really sad we don't get to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan as dark Batman. That would have been a really awesome cameo.

The clip you showed in the beginning of Superman handling the volcano issue was in the main theatrical release that debuted on Friday, June 16th, 2023... I saw it in IMAX 2D and that scene was in the movie.

He delivered some great comedy that took me by surprise. I also like how he vibrated through the wall to steal those two beers (he knew exactly where they were - thief) and when he popped one open it sprayed everywhere because the contents had been super vibrated. I laughed.

watched it 4 times in a week, was a real fun movie. Even my daughter watched it twice. I ignored all the drama surrounding the movie and went to see The Flash/Superman-girl/Batman, i went for the story and the characters, and that alone, and it was well worth it.

I never paid attention to the Miller saga/controversy but eventually it got to big for even me to ignore. I think Ezra is kinda of funny/silly in a theatrical way, than Gavin was on TV but seems consistent with the character himself. Of course I never really read comic books but my reading speed (I taught myself to read at 3.) made them to short term (Maybe 10 minutes to read, and reread.) and expensive to buy (I was kinda poor.) but I could borrow books from the library for free. The longest I ever took to read books was ten weeks for the LOTR ones, because they were so complex (For someone about 13.) I had to keep going over them and checking the rather inadequate maps in the paperbacks to try to understand what was going on. So my perception of "The Flash" is more from media talking about it and the TV series. Sadly no matter what the true story is about Ezra Miller, he is poison and his "Flash" portrayal is over. Like to see who they chose next. Though shoving out Cavil (He reminds me of Reeves, who was iconic.) isn't filling me with hope the new guy in charge is going to improve the DC Extended Universe. I don't really follow the "star worship/fascination" with actors/actresses, and their performances are what I watch and enjoy.

@@lego4virgo Nope. The original was going to have the three girls, Supergirl, Batgirl, and Wonderwoman, as the head hanchos. That was deleted for the proper send off for the DCEU after Zaslov fired 2 of the people in charge. Then James Gunn got on board and did the third and final rewrite for what we have now. This is one movie that had 3 different endings with multiple rewrites/reshoots as each new ending was chosen.

What they had planned sounds a lot better, I'm disappointed it's Clooney instead of Keaton or Affleck as the main Batman of the new timeline. And I think firing Henry Cavill is one of the stupidest things they did. They wasted Keaton's Batman and Supergirl, they should have kept them in the new timeline.

@@cesnav7593only because Barry saved Nora but once he went back and fixed it technically Supergirl didn’t die. Remember inside the speed force Barry explained it as an axis point and that’s why no matter what they did the world was going to end. But since it’s been fixed that “spaghetti noodle” no longer follows that same path.

One of things I caught, was when dark flash said to Barry that he was his biggest fan, and that’s why he wanted to push him out of the speed force so he would meet his younger self to make younger flash….which kinda reminds me of reverse flash from the flash tv show…maybe a Easter egg to that as well

I really would have liked to have seen Jeffrey Dean Morgan in one of those cameo scenes. I know, they could have stretched out even longer than that original 4 hour cut. Without the regime change there could have been two flash movies. It is too bad that we didn't get those Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot scenes.

They cut out all the scenes that would have made it a great movie. Instead the scenes and characters you want are missing. I would have happily watched a 4 hour movie. Justice league was incredible.

I enjoyed watching The Flash movie but admittedly I wanted to like it more. Thanks to the fantastic reporting by you and other reporters I was aware of many of the changes before the movie wrapped up and was finally released and couldn't help but think that what we're seeing is a watered down version of the full movie (before your mention of a 4hr version). I completely agree with your critique on the movie's depiction of the flash point sequences, I guess the dir was going for something original as opposed to the animated Flash Point Paradox and The Flash series flash point sequences, which I respect but also respectfully disagree with this vision. I don't like the new Flash outfit, it's more comic book accurate, yet seeing nuts and cracks isn't my thing, wasn't that a reason why these outfits were altered in the 00s wave of Superhero movies?. Lastly for major critiques is the CGI. It was mostly bad during the Flashpoint scenes, for a $200+M budget movie released in 2023 that's ridiculous. That aside, I definitely enjoyed the movie and watching both Batmen do their thing in such a well captured way, BvS Batman sequence is still the #1 Batman sequence to me, but I wasn't expecting it to be bested here. I liked Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman (always did) action sequences and scenes, and definitely liked and welcomed Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne/Batman return to the big screen and definitely enjoyed the upgraded fighting choreography. I understand now why WBD was attempting to milk Michael Keaton for his appearances as Batman (from scenes in Batgirl to supposedly replacing Ben Affleck in Aquaman 2, then to Affleck getting the role back). I liked Sasha Calle's Supergirl, I liked her acting, fight choreography, and overall appearance although (small critique) it seems like her story was shortened, and the 0 learning curve for her abilities was a bit off putting. I made similar critiques of MoS almost 10 years ago exactly, about Superman's short learning curve for flying. I would definitely like to see the 4hr R-rated version of this movie. BvS 3+hrs and ZSJL 4hrs were so much better because of the extra time and refined vision. I believe The Flash would have the same result, hopefully, we get to see it. If you don't want to see this movie because of Ezra Miller, see it for everyone else that's involved. Is it fair that everyone suffers because of one person?

I really thought the movie was going to go with the Flashpoint storyline from the comics. I was expecting the Reverse Flash & Flashpoint Batman. Nonetheless, it was a great film. Loved it. Also, I read on Twitter that Andy Muschietti has the actual 4-hour cut of the movie. I would watch that, too if I could. RIP the Snyderverse!

The whole paradox with two flashes the entire movie doesn't make sense at all.. it's not really about the multiverse really. The movie is more about flash visiting an alternate timeline where his mother is alive. They basically have two Barry's for exposition dumps.

there are things that I did like about this movie, I liked the Michael Keaton scenes of course but I felt a bit underwhelmed as Keaton should have had more dialogue with the flash and have them bond and connect more, I also liked seeing wonder woman and ben affects batman but again I felt they should have turned up again in a few scenes towards the end. and while having George Clooney turn up at the ending was funny that's all it was funny. Thanks to this video I now know why I did not enjoy the flash as much as I wanted to and it is not because I was being to picky.

Did you see Titans? One of the final episodes was Gar/Beast Boy in the Red (another dimension) and they used archive footage from other DC properties. Very similar to what the Flash movie did, but in a smaller scale
