Really surprised how unplanned it was during Season 1! Came together nicely though! Wish the hatch lasted longer. If I was stranded on a desert island and found a hatch with a shower, kitchen & food I’d move in!

Dharma Intiative is one of the most interesting threads in the series and it wouldn't be the same without it.

It’s crazy how all this time, I thought the count down sound was suppose to sound like a Heart Rate Monitor. Nope, it’s a Grocery Store Scanner. Learning something new in 2023 about a show I’ve been watching since the pilot first aired. So amazing! I want to find out about the band that keeps getting mentioned but we never hear in the show. I forget the name of it, and I think it ends with “The Funky Bunch” ??? I’ll have to rewatch the one episode to remember correctly, but I want to know if it’s a real band and or why they keep mentioning it throughout the show.

If I ever become a billionaire - I’m building a full-scale replica hatch! Not only would I have it built but I would open it to Lost fans, maybe as a place you could stay for a few days and push the button!

"Its a leap of faith Jack " loved the hatch idea, i was so immersed by the volume of work that was done. I am amazed. Very insightful. Thanks for the video

This place marked me since I was little. I took a cardboard box from a refrigerator and made my own "hatch" ... I even had a cardboard computer with the numbers! today when I see the bunker I feel like the first day I saw it.

I couldn’t agree more. When I was in my teens I drove my parents crazy because I coded a VB app on my PC that simulated the 108 minute countdown and I could enter the numbers when the alarm when off. I did it day and night for an entire weekend until they told me I had to stop because it was waking them up every 108 minutes. 😂

The work on this set was really amazing. So much fantastic detail manifested throughout... although, surprising how "off the cuff" it was conceived in the screenplay writing. This was a massive phase change for the show. It could've gone pretty much anywhere. And that explains the later "meandering" of the story as the writers struggled to figure out how the series would end. "Write as we go." Nobody had architected an entire story arc to this series when it started. It definitely showed!

Couldn't they just have made a script that enters the code and executes every 108 minutes? Kind of a plot hole but the hatch episodes were probably the coolest part of the show. I was captivated beyond belief.

Definitely. Or just automate the system entirely so there’s no need for human presence.

Ohhh right.... they gonna find a hatch... Whats in there ? We dont know , we gonna find out later lol. That's explains alot about bad script and unanswered questions. They just add stuff and let the imagination do the work for the audience... mediocre work

What do you mean bad script? Lost was a beloved show and a major success.

It all worked out nice despite that. They even managed to connect the two bodies and the white-black stones from season 1 to the end of the show. What are you talking about xD.

They had no clue how long the show would last in total. Impossible to draw out everything and anything at once. Most of the writing ended up being good nevertheless
@RadagonTheRed10 ай бұрын
In some ways that’s true. I do feel as though the show could have had a much more satisfying and satisfactory ending if they hadn’t written it with so many unknowns, filling in the gaps as they went.

@@RadagonTheRed Unknowns remain addictive for the people when they remain unknown. If you want to reveal it make sure its a good story, otherwise you end up with a bad story in the end. Lost had much potential but they failed to explain. Its nice to imagine unknown things but its even nicer to end up with a good explanation.

How did the writers even get to be a writer for lost lol, were they established before this?
