So when I saw this scene when it first aired, I kept pressing the information guide to make sure I was watching Lost. Then I figured the show before Lost ran late or something. Brilliant show, I miss it so much. And they weren't dead the entire show dammit!

I will never forget the first moment I saw this scene, I felt in love for the second time with this show. The music choice, excellent, going from a happy routine moment to thrilling suspense

One of the best opening scene on a television show EVER!!!!

They can't make shows like this anymore. This was by far the best TV show this decade in MHO. I wish I had more answers though. I do know that both my son and myself cried like babies watching the final episode. It would be great if the writers of Lost created a spin-off of sorts to Lost and bring back some of the great actors and actresses. My son and I couldn't wait for the day when Lost was on television. It was our favorite day of the week.

I don't think Lost is best TV series ever. I think this is the best opening scene in TV history, though: outstanding photography and gorgeous writing for one of the greatest mindfuck ever.

Best. Opening. Ever. One of my favorite Lost moments. the song at the beginning is "Make your own kind of Music" by Cass Elliott. The orchestral music by Michael Giacchino is called "Peace through superior Firepower".

The scene made me properly fall in love with Lost. Missed Season 1 on tv so got the dvd, then watched on tv from Season 2. This opening scene is just amazing. The last part of this when you see Jack and Locke, I think every fan jumped up off the couch screaming 'OHMYGODTHEREISSOMEONEINTHEHATCH!!'. I know I did! Love live Desmond Hume! We'll see you in another life, brotha!

I remember eagerly waiting for the season 2 Lost premier and sitting down in front of the TV and then this came on. Several times during this first 3+ minutes, especially before the explosion, I looked a the bottom of the screen for the ABC logo, because I thought I was on the wrong channel. Yep, ABC. Yep, Lost is on ABC. Yep, ABC. Yep, Lost is on ABC... SOOO clever

I loved this!

As a huge Lost-Fan I am a bid sad because the end is near. Otherwise it´s good to end a show when it´s still interesting and on a high quality level. This is one of the best Lost scenes ever, the greatest season opener.

Call me when you´ll see this level of quality on Netflix. You can´t achieve this by making a Zillion show a year.

And then the whole intro of Desmond's morning routine and the EPIC loud boom...and the camera goes up in the ladder and you see Jack and Locke looking down. Holy shit moment indeed
