I received the documents it just very dark I can't see it .

@@AhayahsArtist the file is a .png which may open with a grey or dark checkered background depending on the app. You can convert the .png once downloaded to a .jpeg or .pdf, print it, or drop it into a word doc (with other notes for your studio).

Nice video. I have one recommendation when loading the Kerr. You threw the heavy weight button / tree in there first. As graphite is very soft it could damage the crucible over a certain amount of time. I would load it with the beads first and then you have a cushion you can drop the button on. I hope this makes sense.

Quick question when would you use spin casting over vacuum casting and is one better than the other?

Rich Barrett the only time I can think spin casting would be better than vacuum casting is torch melting platinum. Even then if your going to cast platinum you would be better off with a specific machine suited to platinum. Regardless of which machine you cast with the investment still should be vacuumed. So getting a two in one machine is more economical.

What temp are you setting your Kerr to for sterling silver?

There are two additional spaces in the chart for people to write in their own flask sizes if they are different from the ones included. The equation is at the top of the second box in order to figure out the volume.

All kilns are different depending on if they are manual or programmable and what size. We created our KZfaq Membership Program for questions that are less universal and more personalized. We may be able to do an overview video about kiln use in future.
