This brings back a lot of memories. One game I played at my local arcade had the saucers scoring at the end 20,000 points, special (free game), 20,000 points, special, etc. I racked up a ton of free games on just a quarter and played for nearly 5 hours before I sold something like 25 games for 5 dollars to someone.

It may be a simple game, but it sure is fun. Also, the artwork is second to none. Its big brother Paragon definitely has more going on in terms of shots, but the beauty is in the simplicity. Some people don’t like the sound, but I like it.

I enjoy the simplicity of old pinball machines. The new ones have so much depth and strategy which is great if you're really into tournaments, but most of the time I just want to rack up some points and enjoy a table.

This and Xenon were my favorite pinball games. Played them every week or more at a local laundromat and bowling alley respectively.

What’s the reason for the little shaking while the ball is in the saucer, does that somehow prevent it from draining SDTM?

Imagine if the standard kick out is a drain. Then when you shake it, something different will happen -- i.e. the ball will randomly be in a slightly different position when the kick happens.

This is my favorite pinball machine. The sounds on this one are the ones I really like. I've watched other videos with the same game, but the sounds are slightly different.

The sound board is hard to get, and broke quite often, SST, STAR TREK, PARAGON, all had this sound board, nothing sounded so cool as when it worked. I think the sound chip was encrypted. You had 2 POTS you could adjust to change the sound these pots also failed often as they got old.

I have this game. Interesting machine as I believe it was rescued from a bar that had a fire as the backbox trim is painted black and some of the upper plastics are warped. If it is truly that machine then I played it when my Dad would go shoot pool many years ago. I also noticed that the machine in this video must have a newer sound board as mine sounds more "original"

Interesting as my back box trim is painted black. Others I see are yellow. The warping of plastics is from the heat of the globes, probably not a fire, Maybe it is European versus US versions?

Out of curiosity, what's the purpose of shaking the table when the ball lands in the saucers?

Papa is smashing the right flipper button to release the ball. The shaking is just cause and effect.

@@willierants5880 Not sure that is the case. If I remember correctly, the kickout does not require action. It automatically kicks after the little melody. Just some weird technique of some kind?
