These videos are important. Lost's legacy needs to focus around how genius it really was, and not about upset fans "not getting their answers". I think these videos are important in giving Lost the proper legacy it deserves.

Realizing why Widmore was so cold to Desmond & why Eloise was so cold to Daniel makes all of this so tragic. In another life, Charles could've been happy for his daughter to be with a man who loved her as much as Desmond & Eloise could've supported Daniel's passion for music giving them a close relationship. Yes! Eloise getting her knowledge from the Island! Absolutely correct. My headcanon theory is that: After the Incident and the energy underneath the Island being unstable, we have the DHARMA Initative puring concrete over this whole thing while finishing building the station. At this time, Richard and Eloise will go to the frozen chamber to move the Island so that Eloise can leave a give birth to Daniel. A young Ben follows them, something Richard and Eloise doesn't notice until they are in the underground chambers. Richard is strict with Ben and tells him that moving the Island is a measure of last resort and whoever moves cannot return (likely a lie by Richard, but he needed to say it to Ben not to tempt him to try it out). Moving the wheel is kind of like turning the failsafe key in the s2 finale. It taps into the energy, while the energy is erratic. I can easily imagine this event having a profound effect on Ben and something he would remember until he finally does it almost 30 years later.

I love how these videos prove that everything matters but nothing matters; almost everything has some significance for the future, but nothing they try can change the futures inevitable outcome.

I think the simplest answer works here: Eloise was given flashes by the Island and once she did everything she's supposed to do, they stopped.

Daniel's mom gave him that journal on his graduation knowing exactly how significant it is, and she wrote that msg inside knowing that she will kill him and it broke her heart. And in his last moments, Daniel knew that she knew that this will happen all along... this is mind-boggling and heartbreaking and it makes me not hate Eloise anymore

Wait, what evidence in cannon was there supporting your assertion that Widmore had foreknowledge of Desmond's destiny prior to their first 'interview' meeting at Widmore's office? I can't recall any off the top of my head, other than the assumption that because Eloise knew, she told him. It's a good theory for sure, but was there anything more supporting this? Of course I love this theory because it implies long-term story telling by the writers which we all want to believe is true for Lost, but it's just not the reality of shows like this, especially in season, what, season 3ish? They didn't know season 6 would be the final season then, did they? I doubt they'd have had anything that minute drawn out so far in advance - I believe they had rough ideas and outlines for the full arc, but this would imply godlike foreknowledge by them, lol. Plus, Widmore'd have to be a perfect and patient actor (Widmore the character, not the real life actor who played him) to pull off that sort of charade, and if we know anything about Widmore, he's a shrewd businessman and an exceedingly skilled schemer/manipulator but his hubris, ego and quick temper usually always overshadow any kind of fortitude or altruism, even when he was up there in age after Jacob made him "see the error of his ways". He may have lied to the Losties (Jin and Desmond, etc) when he's telling them that if Locke leaves the island, everyone they care about would die to get them to do what he wanted them to, in the end it was Widmore's selfish need to save his daughter that got him killed and nearly killed all the remaining Candidates when he tried to make that deal and told Locke how to destroy the island. It's makes no sense that Eloise has access to the Lamp Post station, but Widmore just can't find the island. If Ben can find her there, so can Widmore.
