LOTR bloopers: When Orlando Bloom BROKE his ribs! (by falling off a horse)

3 ай бұрынThe physical demands of filming The Two Towers and the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy led to inevitable injuries on set. Sean Astin (Sam) cut his foot on glass, Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) broke his toes, and Orlando Bloom (Legolas) cracked a rib falling off a horse. Despite the pain, Orlando returned to set promptly. His complaints and subsequent rib jokes from co-stars made for humorous moments on set.

This made the running across Rohan more painful and Orlando wasn't alone. Like mentioned Viggo Mortesen had broken two toes and Gimli's scale double Brett Beattie had dislocated his knee.

Actually Orlando didn’t complain much. The Hobbits were just teasing. Even Viggo did say later on that it was all about “sucking it up” and just be ready to do your work right away and said that that’s exactly what Orlando did.

His tooth were broken during either Amon Hen or Helm's Deep, and Viggo wanted to get it superglued to carry on with the shoot but producer Barrie Osbourne arranged an emergcy appointed at Peter Jackson's dentist so he tooth got fixed during lunch break.
