Yep. That’s a category 2 fuck up at a minimum. I’d be worried about oil residue rotting rubber hoses / seals, because it’ll likely stick to the internal surfaces like shit to a blanket. As unappealing as it might be, I’d be disassembling the whole system a replacing all the rubber. It might be ok for a while but after that … ?

I've done that before! I used an old brake fluid bottle to store some leftover new engine oil. Forgot I did that and topped the system up with engine oil. Fek.

Brilliant video! Yes, over 45. I was feeling for you when the gear oil went in. My most recent muck up was forgetting to properly persuade the wheels on; setting off to get the tracking done and it feeling like the wheels were going to fall off...which they were.
