Lovely drive & great weather. Why any one wouldn’t want their hood down when it adds so much more to ANY drive is beyond me. The next phase of your conversion to open top motoring is to use a tonneau when the hood is down, so that it’s just the drivers cockpit that is open, makes it cosy especially in colder weather and a breeze to just zip up to secure the car when you park up. Even Gordon Murray - famous for liking coupes has got the open top bug now. Enjoy!

On the question of the slower response, have you disturbed a carb setting during the engine out/in/out/in ?
