Origa's music is forever connected to ghost in the shell. Without her music the anime would simply not be the same. It sets the emotional scene in the beginning. It's fantastic. She died on 17th January 2015. But she lives on in her music as long as we listen to it and watch GITS.

I'm so proud to be Russian and that's why I can recognize in Origa's vocal Russian folk music style.And it's cool that people around the world can listen this vocal style and like it. Also good mix of art pop with trance,big beat and industrial rock.There is one band which sounds close to it. Hybrid. My recommendation for every music fan RIP Olga.You'll always be legend for everyone who heard you😢

Some things I love about the SAC series is The action is very fluid and fast unlike most action animes They do a great job of blending CGI with 2D animation with the Tachikomas I'm a big fan of Neo noir stories and this series is no exception. Motoko Kusanagi is a BADASS character with a tame but also a bit of a snarky personality.

My favorite anime shows are: Death Note, Code Geass, and Ghost in the Shell. I thought Attack on Titan would surpass because everyone worships it, but it just wasn’t the same as my top three. I guess it just wasn’t the vibe for me compared to DN, CG, and GITS.

I knew i recognized this wonderful voice. She also sung a number of vocal for FF13-2. New Bodhum", "Historia Crux", "Missing Link", "Parallel World", and "Space-Time Interval". Though she has passed away, her voice is immortal.

I'll be honest, Ghost in the Shell never held much interest for me when I was younger. The plot seemed too complicated for me to follow, but every time it aired on Adult Swim I'd be sure to stay for at least the opening theme song, for the first and second ones.

Watch the 95 movie... not a ton of direct connection to the show, but it gives a lot of info to why the major is the way she is....

Literally same, could never get into it as a kid but loved the music. Now that I'm an adult , I'll probably give it a try one day.

Same! I remember during a late night Adult Swim watch party asking if anyone even understood GITS and just stayed cause the OP sucked us in lol. Still I really want to get into it as it seem so intriguing philosophically but then I get scared that I'm too dumb to understand it even now so I just listen to the music >.>

Ghost in the Shell introduced me to your music when I was just a wee lad, and I actually listened to your music, understood the lyrics (from translating), i remember staying up all night playing Metroid Prime listening to Rise on my mp3 player and those are some of my favorite memories. Your voice is so beautiful, and I will listen to you till it's my time. I still tell people about you to this day, you're now a beautiful angel and wish you were here still.

wow the duality of man I'm 19 and I used to watch ghost in the shell on adult swim in bits and pieces when I was supposed to go to sleep I never finished it though or watched it in any discernible order so I think I'll do that someday. This song though, its mesmerizing.

I loved this song then and I love it still. She was such an amazing singer with a beautiful voice, I can't believe that before now I never knew she passed away.. RIP Origa, you were and are still loved and you will be missed.

+Anthony199717 08 Well, consider how the song mentions that we are soldiers who are both defendants and judges. Implying our actions are judged by others while we also judge (kill) others. Furthermore, it mentions how we rush forward to fight against lies; this would be a direct reference to (i suppose) the false wars we waged. Just my 2 cents, but this whole anime is probably how our near future will look like.

2021 and we're now in a dystopia so I play this song weekly. Reminds me of the first time I heard this opening in 2003, staying up late to finally watch adult swim. Gundam Seed, Dot Hack, Ghost in the Shell. Cowboy Bebop... Miss those days

SAC: 2nd Gig was an awesome series - not quite as awesome as the story of the Laughing Man was, but the Individual Eleven story line still was quite captivating and interesting. A lot more politics than the 1st one. Surprisingly I kind of enjoy this opening more than Inner Universe, which I love to bits and pieces. This one has a bit more of a "badass" feel to it.

The first episode of ghost in the shell stand alone complex i ever saw on TV was chat chat chat, of course being so young I didn't know what I was watching, years later I have both seasons of stand alone complex on DVD
