150db with 1600watts is good. Makes me wish I had a good spl meter I'm kinda floating a napkin in my front window with a single 15 on 750watts in chevy cruze

That's subs not hitting the lows at all. It's tuned to 40 hz. That's high for a car audio build. It's don't that way so he can hit a higher SPL number. You can itllgesr it struggle on the low notes. It's not pressuring the vehicle(and it's not supposed to for a build like his)

Shrek's ill, legitimate brother, Shriek (NOT!) lol - Enjoying that the ports are not on the same surface as the sub itself; Yet another thing I gotta look into - port placement. I certainly would like to see a hard-workin' sub in the rear view mirror as well, if the arrangement allowed it. Nice work - that's why I came back to it! 😃✌👍

I've seen 4/8 do the same on the meter as a single 15 but it seems like single big sub setups hit harder physically, like heavier punch @ same DB. Same w a 18 vs 410s

For Spl, higher tuned, and more port area, usually works better. For music, blocking a port or 2 will tune it lower, but @ some point limited port area will cause port chuffing.

I like how people are pushing the boundaries of whats " normal" in car audio. These single sub build with low wattage are amazing.

@@AdamsWorld84 Amp is as long as the back seat, and says 20,000 watts max on 1 end, and 10k on the other end. Its amazing how many people dont pay attention🤣😂

I got a question.if anybody is able to help it would be much appreciated. Let’s say I have 2 subwoofers and I’m using a 5000watt amp/mono to power them. You can’t go 100% on amps/mono goes you’ll end up getting distortion.Probably can’t even go more then 60%. How much power output would I actually get if I have the amp/mono at 60% is the whole 5000watt gonna come out of that or am I gonna be using roughly 3500watts since it’s not 100%

The best way to tell ofcourse is a tool like smg.. but you can also fairly guess by the amount of amperage your pulling.. also other things factor.. what ohm load are you seeing.. box rise etc. You've asked a question with very little information to go by my friend

every manufacturer is different also biuld quality says alot like China Korean russian Japan Brazilian If your not realy mechanic-ally inclined them smd tools help but a 1/4 the price just use a O scope but don't only measure your amps max voltage before clipping also measure your output signals for clipping whatevers giving your amps its signal.
