Definitely one of the best. Period. They really never got the recognition, they so deserved.

Loudness was one of the best Metal bands from the 80's and very under rated. Akira Takasaki was one of the best guitarist and also under rated, Love these guys.

Same here a fan since Thunder in the East & have been discovering their more recent music. Love Loudness.
@classicalguitarbasics74374 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Takasaki was one of the best in the 80s. He belongs in that small list of gifted guitarists that can blow your mind! A list that includes EVH Vai, Skolnick, Cody, Bettencourt, Saraceno, Bratta, Rhoads, Carroll, George and Steve Lynch. A list that doesn't have the name of Warren DeMartini.

I was 14 when album Thunder in the East came out 1985 and I became a huge fan right away 🤩 Akira Takasaki is one of the best guitarist ever!!!
@gfcardi2 жыл бұрын
Awesome! I was 24 (old guy) and felt the same way--I saw them in Boston that year, my ears are still ringing! (all good) Good to see you 'young guys" have good taste in music.
@orionhorizon712 жыл бұрын
@@gfcardi tnx for calling me a young guy😅 I live on the west coast of Finland, pretty small city (20,000 inh.) but we still have amazing bands playing here every summer; 29.7. we have an "Open Air" festival and bands like Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Accept :)
Holy shit got the chills. Haven't heard this in a REALLY long time. I practically learned how to play guitar to this fucking album. Damn I'm getting old.

What made Akira's solo so righteous was his use of the pickup selector switch. Few solos this short have as much back and forth interplay between the bridge and neck pickups as he did here. A fantastic piece of work.

''Heavy Chains'' She wants to run, goin' on, Point of no return No looking back, hope is gone, Just a slow burning Lost without love, so she tries To get all she can Into the night, desperate eyes, Look for helping hands Like a scream, the siren's call Now it seems she's lost to all Moving slow, and trapped in pain Don't run with heavy chains What's left is torn apart Heavy chains on heavy heart Her broken life Her broken heart Broken promises lost and found Just like a knife Into her heart Keeping her down What's left is ripped apart Heavy chains on heavy heart Broken pieces of life Broken pieces of heart Broken pieces of promises lost and found Heavy chains like a knife Cutting into her heart Keeping her down Ohh, heavy chains!

I used to listen to Thunder album and Heavy Chains was one of my favorites. This band blows away any heavy metal band back from the 80s and are still kicking ass today even louder. They were better then most of the Thrash bands that came out in later years also, just as fast and heavy

I remember back when you looked forward to an album releasing, after reading the Rolling Stone, Hit Parader, Kerrang or Metal Edge. Grabbing the record (not even a cassette) and flying home to jam your ass off. Well, those days are gone as music has been destroyed but, there is a silver lining...being able to hear it all again on here! Where is that excitement now? 🤗🤔🥱
