I'm a Gooner and I find the words very good but its very 'long winded' Only the chorus may catch on? Need something more sprightly and catchy! COYG!

The issue with this song, whilst the chorus is amazing, 99% of the song you can’t sing to.. It’s not like “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for example where you can sing it from start to finish.. But the chorus is amazing and although it’s very brief sounds quality.

Yeah it's not perfect. I'm not even that keen on the lyrics of the chorus. But that doesn't matter. It resonates with North Londoners and so it works in the stadium and it's much much better than anything else around except YNWA which was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Due respect to Louis but maybe he's not yet in the same league musically. Nobody sings the whole of YNWA anyway and ok objectively it might be better but at least The Angel was written by a Gooner!

@@TWW-zk9gw I guess I'm the only person who has always found ynwa hella bland and boring. Maybe because it wasn't 'our' song but just never felt the awe everyone else seems to share about that. But this song, or chorus more specifically, gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it and that was even before I realised it was our new anthem.
