granted this is a tv show, i would like to see Maria as part of the Suits cast. She seems to have very similar personality as Harvey and it would have been great to see her as part of the Suits cast.

What's silly about this plotline and the Mike coverup is eventually they're going to hire other associates who will supposedly be a year below or ahead of Mike. There will be too many of them in the firm at one point and none of them will remember or see him in class photos or reunions lol

Until I saw *this,* and then nothing stopped me from believing Aarti Mann was Associate Maria Monroe. And then I saw many of her other (usually very small) roles, and it became patently obvious that this woman simply is an incredible actress who *becomes* the characters and literally makes you forget it's an actress and just makes you see the character (and really deserves *much better* opportunities than the small pigeonholed roles she gets, often as doctors or lawyers. Yes, she's been cast as a doctor twice - not to mention other roles in medical shows - and in addition to *this* and The Big Bang Theory, she also plays a lawyer in Netflix's The Recruit *in addition* to many other legal shows she's appeared in, like All Rise)! Simply put, it's sad she's so limited - both by pigeonholing and by not giving her bigger roles more often - because as you yourself mentioned, she plays roles so well you often *forget* she's acting, and once you watch her characters long enough, you almost forget the same actress played *her other characters.* The best example of this probably came in a show called "The Future Dead" (a Twilight Zone-esque show where the same cast will play different characters in different stories), where she played *three* different characters in *three* different episodes, and you almost don't even realize the same actress has appeared before each time you see her!

In hindsight Louis turned out to be "bad" all because of the others hiding their secret of Mike. I just wonder why they couldn't hire Mike as a Paralegal and convince a law school to take him and study for the bar.

I think of this every time I see clips of the show and it reminds me why I stopped watching. Even if he couldn't get into Harvard, it would have still been interesting to see him go through undergrad and then a lower tier law school. Maybe he would have had to go to another firm before returning to Pearson Hardman, but still would have been an interesting challenge seeing him balance school work/life with Paralegal work rather than the over the top unnecessary drama plots we got.

@@WayneMercy her "intuition" was immediately making 2 incorrect assumptions based on extremely limited info. this is about the same as someone from the mailroom sorting mail for the building and randomly looking at one addressed to Mike Ross and thinking, "huh, did he ever go to Harvard?" using her same "intuition", i could make the assumption that she has the same reaction to every single new person she meets - "i don't remember graduating with you from Harvard!" randomly jumping to incorrect conclusions is not really intuition.

the same show that wanted us to believe a guy had memorized a 5,000 page affidavit he correctly cited from at random in court. along with memorizing every other thing he had ever read in his life. i can't remember people's names i met last week, but i probably knew the first and last names of everyone i graduated high school with at the time (150). so not the most implausible storyline.

One of my biggest pet peeves of this show is how they talk about only hiring from Harvard. Harvard is usually accepted to be the 3rd best lawschool in the country, behind Yale and Stanford. Sometimes harvard is viewed as being second, better than stanford, but it is universally viewed as worse than yale. Let me get this strait, if you are from the third best law school in the country, you can apply. If you are from the best lawschool, however, not a chance.

Because, absent a written contract, employment is at will. She could quit the next day if she wanted, and he could fire her as well for virtually any reason.

@@vadimzdonutube i am sure almost every job has some kind of probation period which is about 1 to 3 months . Company can fire the employee or employee can leave any time within probation, especially this big law firms.
