Just chiming in here to say that I was skeptical at first about this keyboard. I made the change because I was starting to get a little frustrated with the features of the Android system keyboard. So I figured why not try it out? It took a little bit of getting used to, but for the most part, the change was relatively smooth. Then I decided to try out the speech-to-text feature, and I gotta say, I am blown away at the performance of it. Right out of the box, it recognized exactly what I was trying to say with very few, if any, errors at all. What's more is it is lightning fast. It takes maybe one second at absolute maximum to determine exactly what you say during a single voice input. In fact, it actually figures out what I'm trying to say faster than I can even say it. It can even detect errors in what you say, like if you stutter or say a single word multiple times in a row, sometimes it actually picks up on that and does not include the errors in what you speak. Just to drive the point home, this entire comment was formed entirely with the speech-to-text input, no other user input. This truly is an amazing keyboard.

I am not saying that what google is doing here is a good thing, it should clearly at least be screaming in BOLD TEXT when you first use it so user knows. But from programmer point of view kind of understand it. You want your SW to be good in translating your style of talking. Best way to do that is to store all your translations and when you make changes in the SW just run them thru again to see if it made same results. The offline feature works now, but in 2009 i dont think it was really possible to do that. Also Czech language is not supported, so cant use it even if i wanted to. I know we are small country, but it sucks.
