louis didnt sound like 1d, 1d sounded like louis cause he wrote on most of their songs

Louis wrote the most on 1D’s discography, he played a really major part in songwriting since the “Midnight Memories” days when he wrote on 12 of the 18 tracks of that album so if you see any “One Direction influence” it’s really just “Louis influence on One Direction” haha!

His words, but nobody knows the real and deeper meaning of his songs cause he is not that open, every can interpret his songs as they want im sure this is his intention. He wrote a whole album without pronouns and only uses "you" cause his songs are for everyone who needs them

He wrote most of the songs for the last 3 albums in one direction so it makes sense that it’s a similar writestyle since it was him :) also Walls is a “transition” album but he said in the future he is gonna make more songs like “kill my mind” so I recommend you listen to that! Just going to go there.It’s about Harry. They had a relationship that management squashed they were no longer allowed to sit near each other in interviews, being near each other in public, and change spots where they stood when they sing. Management provided them with what they called “beards“ and set up pops with them for pictures with the many “girlfriends “ they set them up with. They both often were crying during certain songs on stage with one direction. Especially “Over again”. Watch the song live in concert. And when Louis would sing his part and 18,“I have loved you since we were 18“ and every time Harry Shouts back into the mic “16“. They were 18 and 16 at the beginning of 1D. Louis was with Syco management for 10 years (The only one in oneD Who had to sign that long contract) end it ended in 2020 and he wrote songs now feeling free to be honest. He gave into the pressure and cut things off with him permanently. Realizing what they really had and apologizing. Definitely could be about there 24 hours a day with the band, But him and Harry lived together most of the time One Direction while the others had individual apartments. Louis singing about love is a special experience. He is so honest about his story. His love poetry has a pattern of always being so vulnerable in front of the other person and always self reflecting. He admits his faults and holds himself accountable while never truly blaming the other person or being accusatory. Always so full of heartbreak and hope intertwined so beautifully. He's always said that where he's from, they wear their hearts on their sleeves and his mum brought him up that way. He's just my favourite person and I admire how he loves. Glad you loved the song!!

Fantastic! I highly recommend listening to Walls album top to bottom - each of the songs tells his story but that is meant to be relatable to the listener. All are sonically cohesive. It is a beauty of an album that, if the world were fair and just, would have gotten at least a few major award nominations. Just a note: the meaning of Two Of Us is clearly an ode to his mother yet Louis still wrote it purposefully for it to help anyone going through their own grief. Thanks so much for reacting to Louis!

Louis wrote a lot of 1ds songs. This album was more of him just saying everything he feels and it's all about the lyrics. Next album is gonna be more like his songs kill my mind, coacoc, and miss you. A little bit of that indie rock feel so I'm very excited! Louis has always said that he wasn't ready for one direction to go on a break because he was only just gaining confidence in the band when they left. , everyone's on good term, zayn and Louis had a bit of a falling out and theyre not friends anymore (still respect each other and stuff and Louis still talks proudly of zayn along with the rest of the boys) but they were actual best friends so I'm sure they'll fix it.

This is a love song clearly. Louis didn't meet Eleanor , his girlfriend, till September 2011 . He was born on 24 th December 1991. So he was 19 plus years old. Although in his track by track analysis he said it's about when he was 18 years old. So make out of it what you will.

Thank you so much for doing more Louis. Loved the reaction and honest review. Being his fan since 2014 I am of course very happy you like his voice! For me, I think Louis is so relatable because while he writes mostly about himself and his life experiences, he keeps it simple, honest and real, with words and voice that goes directly to my heart. As a fan you get little bits of him but you can also very easily put his words to your own life. He did say when he first started making his album, in 2017, that he was writing it chronological (of his life), but the finished product didn't end up being like that. But it is there if you know him and his journey. He took his time to get this album out after 1D. He released 4 songs before this album 2016-2017 those songs didn't make it on to the album. He tried out a few things with them that in the end wasn't what he wanted. (soundwise) He tried to fit himself into what was popular and realized that wasn't him. But he's also said he wouldn't have figured that out without those songs. It wasn't until he wrote Two of us that he could fully move on in his writing. He also re-evalulated what he truly wanted after losing his sister shortly after releasing that song. He decided to do music for him and not for radio or be so concerned about doing hits like it was in 1D. Being happy with what you do is more important to him. He only hoped his fans would like his music. And I'd say we did. We are proud of him. He is working on a second album. He has the most writing credits in 1D (closely followed by Liam) and I like to say Louis doesn't sound like 1D but rather 1D sounded a bit like Louis. Louis was the driving force that changed 1D's sound with the album Midnight Memories to a more rocky pop sound and leaving the bubble gum pop behind. He didn't have much solos in 1D, barely any on the first two albums, which made him feel useless and insecure about his voice, but he pushed on and thought if he couldn't sing then he would write. He wanted to feel he did something of worth in the band. So he made it his mission to get in on the writing team, none of the other boys did at that time but Louis leading the way made it possible for all of them to do so. And they all became co-writers on most songs on their 3 latter albums. He's a guy that are heavily influenced by the music he grew up to. And that is what we hear in his music now. The live stream concert he did in December has IMO perfected the sound he wants to aim for so the live version of his album differs a bit. I love his album Walls but I loved the live stream even more. Louis tone of voice have always felt special and different to me. He didn't get to sing much in 1D but his voice always stood out to me. Comfort. His tone of voice on his album gives me comfort combined with the lyrics of course. Think that's best way I can explain it. If you want to know what the songs are about then I'd suggest to go watch his track-by-track snippets. He has one for each song, just a very brief overview. He's talked about some songs more in interviews but these snippets are easy to find on his YT channel. And yes, he has said in interviews that he approaches songwriting with concepts for a start and one song can have more than one concept. Like, a chorus for one thing in mind but then the verse was really about something else but of course made to fit together so it works as a love song or whatever. He has said there are references to his girlfriend, his family and 1D in his songs. There is this line ”it’s been Two years since I saw your face...” I think this song is mostly about his girlfriend (as well as some job related things) He met his girlfriend early on and they were together 2011-2015. They reconciled at the time he lost his mum and they got back together in 2017 and is still together. There was the 2 year reference. They were 19 and 18 when they met. Louis has said there are songs, like Always You, where he sings about his regrets of them breaking up.

Not trying to make this anything just something that I heard and so have a few people that love Louis and 1D. But to me it sounds like H singing backing in the too young chorus. I don't know just sounds like him. Am I crazy or does anyone else hear it? This song totally sounds like Louis and Eleanor's relationship.... They had dated back in the 1D days... It was difficult to keep in touch with her in the University and him touring around the world... Eventually they split and then he got back together after a couple of years. Therefore, 'it's been two years, since I've seen your face" And "we were too young, to know we had everything"... Many of his songs on Walls clearly gives the idea of both of their relationship...

Louis changed 1D's sound. He started writing from their 3rd album. He wrote a lot of songs in that album and rest of the two as well. If you ever react to the 1D albums,you will see the massive difference between the first 2 albums and the last 3 albums. He insisted on changing their sound and their 3rd album was the best selling album(if I'm not wrong)

Most 1D songs were written by him. Check out the song "Home", "Little things" if you want deep songs and "Over again" if you want to vibe with the beats plus the emotions and "Drag me Down" or "Never enough" if you want to have a good time. Not sure how you'll take "No control" so I'm not recommending you although I like it.

The whole album Walls is very well written, played and well cared for ... The mistake has always been made that only those who take the high notes can sing ... it is not so! ... and his voice is very particular, it transmits a lot and reminds me of Noell Gallagher or Anthony Kiedis (RHCP).

Could you do a reaction comparing the words to Miss You by Louis Tomlinson and From The Dining Table by Harry Styles? They are so similar it’s funny and considering you do reactions to both of them you should like these songs. Also as for this song I feel like it was about a relationship with a boy who he was told couldn’t last “I cant believe I gave into the pressure when they said a love like this could never last” He talks about his management being toxic and there is proof that his management is homophobic so that’s probably what he meant by pressure. He also said he was too young and impressionable when they said that he couldn’t be with this boy so he gave into the pressure and broke up with him. This is also why he says that he’s sorry he hurt him. In your reaction to Copy Of A Copy Of A Copy he also mentions not being able to get through the glass (a glass closet). On your reaction to fearless he says that do you remember feeling young? He was a lot more free to be himself so he was a lot more extraverted in his younger days. He was told he couldn’t be with this boy so he was talking about him being strong enough to get it wrong in front of all these people. Now he’s very closeted so he has to try and act like a heterosexual male whereas in his early days of One Direction he was a lot more free. This is just my take on the songs. I personally feel like he is communicating it very loudly and in Only the Brave is very loud. In his music video for We Made It (I think) he put a rainbow building in which is the same building that another celebrity (LilNasX I think) put in his video and then came out later on saying that the rainbow building was his clue. This is what I feel he means by his songs and that he’s sending a message to this boy that he’s sorry he fell for it and that he knows how much he means to him. Strange and off-topic thought, please, ignore me :) I know that both Liam and Louis wrote a lot for 1D, Liam just a little less than Louis. Liam said he was more of a melody guy. Yet somehow Louis's style is like 1D legacy, which I totally love and Liam's music is so different from that and it's a puzzle to me. I wish Liam wrote more of his own stuff, I could appreciate anything he'll put out even if it's mainstream pop while it's his own material.
