In this video, I’ll go through some of the pros and cons of the infamous Louis Vuitton Alma BB and the Givenchy Antigona Mini, compare the two in terms of style, versatility, capacity and the different ways you can wear the bags. I’ll also share with you my thoughts and which I would I recommend over the other.

It’s the Givenchy for me 🤣 love that you can fit a full size water bottle! So handy for travelling and the price is 👌🏼 for leather hehe

Haha yeah not many mini bags can fit a full size water bottle! Can probably fit a lot of full size things too like hand cream 😆 definitely great value for money. Thank you for sharing 🤗💞

I would love to see a "rematch" in about six months. We're heading into winter here, and a classic black bag is so appealing. I know they lose their luster in spring and summer, but I personally think the Antigona is classier and more versatile.

I was just staring at my Alma BB a few minutes ago and then after that, I was on Givenchy website, looking at the antigona in navy blue! When I switched to youtube, first thing I saw was this video! I love both your bags! I have the Balenciaga villa and now I want the LV Alma! So classy and beautiful. What do you think of the PM size instead of the BB size. I love the look of the BB better and it looks like it holds all the essentials. I just want to make sure it can carry my every day needs. Thanks for the video!

I think the BB is a great size ☺️ I prefer it over the PM because it comes with a crossbody/shoulder strap and I find it can fit all the essentials ❤️

Hey thanks for the detailed comparison. I really love antigona. I was wondering if you think the antigona can be used as an everyday bag? I really do work from home so will be using it as my main bag whenever I step out. What are your thoughts ?

Hey there 🤗 yes definitely! It’s a great work bag in my opinion because it’s very sleek and professional looking, and it doesn’t have any flashy logos so it will suit any work environment. I think so long as you don’t need to carry a laptop or A4 sized documents with you on a regular basis, then it makes a perfect work bag that can be turned into a nice evening bag out after work too 😄

I prefer the Givenchy Antigona. One because I feel like nearly every Alma BB is kind of wonky. Especially when wearing it crossbody, the zipper kind of pulls apart weirdly without opening if that makes sense. It just looks off. Secondly because of the price point. In my country the Alma BB in epi leather is at a whooping 1550€ (canvas 1400€, was 950€ in 2020!) while the Antigona Mini is 1550€ also but can be bought at a discount of sometimes up to 25%.

Hi, about the Antigona, Hannah from Hello Catwalk talked about the straps losen up like when you sit and get up, the long straps come out. Do you have that problem too? I hope they have fixed that because I will like to get it in burgundy. Please let me know. Thanks

Hello! Unfortunately that does happen when you put the straps down. The clasp is not secure - there’s a gap where sometimes if it aligns, it will fall off 🙁 it doesn’t happen all the time but every now and again so it’s just something to be mindful of whenever picking up the bag. That’s probably the main con. It’s still a great bag overall though!

That’s such a hard choice! I really love both bags, however, I agree there is just something special about the Alma BB. I have it in the Epi leather and the quality is great. Very minimal wear and tear like the Antigona.

What color of epi did you get? I’m planning to get one in color black either with the jacquard strap or the usual leather or color blue ( indigo). Is the epi bb user friendly?

@@daisyester2971 I have it in the navy. I do sometimes wish I got it in the black but still love it either way. The epi bb is very user friendly. It fits more than you think, you can take it in all weather conditions and you don’t need to baby the bag. I’ve had it for three years and no scratches on the leather.

Indigo was actually my first choice and is my favorite color but why is black better than blue for you as time goes by?

@@daisyester2971 black is more versatile when pairing with outfits. I can wear the blue but sometimes it just doesn’t go with some outfits.

I like both of them. The only thing that turns me off about the Antigona, is the attachment of the strap hook, people say the straps unhook, and their bag falls to the floor.

Yess! I’ve experienced that a number of times. I wish they just made it a regular clasp. But I still love the bag! 🖤
