Miller High Life and Coors Banquet love to put out those retro labels. I've noticed them doing it since the late 1990s.

I do like how they went back to the design that you showed in this magazine. Because it actually looks pretty cool and i'm glad they stuck with it

For what it's worth, me and four buddies of mine did a blind light beer taste test. Three picked Miller Lite, I picked Coors light, and another picked Bud light.

I don't know why this is, but if I am eating pizza, wings, or Mexican food the only beer I'll have with it is Miller Lite (preferably on draft). There's just something about it that compliments more robust and spicier foods.

I'm drinking a Miller Lite right now. It's my go-to "every day" kind of beer. Nice and light, good taste, crisp, and good priced. My favorite light beer overall. Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend Ron!

I worked at a bar yrs ago and there was such a miscommunication with this name. Here miller lite is "miller lite" but the one in the white can is refered to as "LITE beer , by Miller". Hope your doing well Jay. Be safe. Cheers Sir

I always try the light beers, but I always end up going back to Miller Lite. I do apperciate all of them of course, but Miller Lite seems to be the one for me. It may be because there is a history from my childhood with it, and being from Chicago, it was once Meister Brau Lite but Miller acquired them and re-branded it to Miller Lite. I could have some bias feel to it, but out of the light beers for me in my opinion, Miller Lite can't go wrong. It's certainly one of the better tasting light beers out there, but it can be debatable of course.

They are having a deal where I live, 24 bottles for 13.95, cant beat that, and it isn't half bad. And when I need a proper beer reviewed, you're the first person I look up!

I totally agree with you, people rip all light beers because it's not their beer of choice not necessarily because it's bad. Here in Wisconsin, Miller Lite is the go to beer in for tailgating and overall everyday beer. I too like my micro's beers including my APA's, Stouts, Porter's, etc. But when I just want a nice refreshing cold beer on a hot day, I don't go for these micros, I rather have a nice Lite beer that is not too heavy. Once again... Great review. For light beers and to fit my budget at times, it's my go to.

Right- thin & watery. I was helping out at Bingo, tonight, and I drank one 12 oz. can of Bud Light. It was enjoyable, but, of course, too light for my preference.

@ronaldtheriot I can only find one other variant here so far besides the lager - Foster's Light Ice 2.3% ABV. Perhaps the Premium Ale is only made for the US market.

I will have to try it I'm doing my own lite beer challenge I'm starting with bud light and miller lite first go from there ..

I wasn't blown away but i did enjoy this beer, as usually i would never buy light beer but i wanted to do a review so i tried it and it was good. Probably the best light beer taste I have encountered. Now I have to buy High Life so I can compare it.

Always thought Miller Lite's taste is far and away better than Bud Light's. Bud always seems to have a staleness to it. Miller Lite is fresh and crisp.

I have the original Miller Lite can, one never opened one opened, kinda proud about that.

after a few years of sticking strictly with some of the higher end lagers and IPA's, I finally decided to pick up a 12 pack of each of the different kinds of cheaper light beers like this, bud light, Budweiser, Coors light, MGD, Milwaukee's best, I can honestly say that there is still a place in my liver for light beers whenever I want quantity over quality.

@dbraz45 I have never thought of that. But, it's true that Lite's always been in the brown bottle. Naturally, I also prefer High Life or Genuine Draft over Lite any day.

I found the history of Miller Lite very interesting - never seen it around here though. In Australia Miller Chill has proven to be extremely popular and the Genuine Draft can be found almost everywhere.

This will be my next light beer to try .. I am not much for light beer but I really should be drinking that lol but I really like miller high life and MGD a lot. But you have a favorite light beer ?

@SwillinGrog That's interesting. Genuine Draft over in the State of Louisiana is not too prominent, although most stores carry it. Miller High Life (the pasteurized version) is much more popular. I would like to be able to try the Foster's Premium Ale, but it's not sold in Louisiana.

Beer is truly an acquired taste and one that I just got in the past few months. I enjoy a Miller Lite or two at night but I'm looking to branch out a bit more and was wondering what top 3 or 5 beers would you recommend a new beer drinker try out?

Ron, I think this beer goes great with greasy bar food and is a great chaser for shots too. I'm not much of a light beer drinker either however, I'd say that this beats out coors and bud light. If you had to pick a light beer would you say this is a good choice? If so would you take this beer over others with food?

hey ron i just picked up a 15 case of miller lite 16 ounce aluminum bottles and i gotta say i found this beer extremely refreshing and definitely crisp. i really haven't found any of the negative aspects you mentioned in this video. i am a fairly inexperienced beer drinker, though, but maybe something has changed since 11 years ago. might wanna revisit this one. p.s. nice zoological biodiversity in the background of this video. appreciate all your videos. peace

Great review. I had this this past summer at an single A ballpark. It was ALL they sold. Like you, I hadn't had this beer in a long time. And when I was 18 (I was born in 1960) it was still legal to drink too. But, I used to like this and Schlitz light back then - hell, Old Mil was a premium along with Natural light. But, I had this at the game, and it wasn't bad at all. I won't run out an buy this over Schlitz gusto or Old Mil - but, at a single A game, this really hit the spot.

Yes, those types of places have a limited selection. And, if they do have a craft beer, it's going to be very expensive.

@jdub94ful It's funny how the commercials say, "Miller Lite has more taste." Well, having more taste than another light beer ain't saying much. I just as soon never have it again. But, if people like it, they should drink it.

Well, it might be returning. Miller just ended their agreement in Canada with Molson-Coors and say they're going to market their own beer, themselves in the country.

I think it would be worth a revisit on my part as well. I haven't had it in many years.

Thing is; on my way home from work, if i'm buying a 4 or 6 pack of beer; i'm usually looking at price unless i'm going actual beer shopping. Many people swear by Sam Adams, i personally can't stand it but for me I enjoy all Miller's products, maybe that makes me a philistine but that's what my wallet and taste-buds can agree most of the time.

You should compare this beer side by side with bud light, and coors light. I bet you would notice alot more beer flavor opposed to the other 2.

It's ok real cold. I think it's a 3-4 slammer when I'm thirsty. Cheers bro.

@Tunnelfish I've had Amstel Light quite a few times, and like many above-premium light beers (such as Dixie Jazz, Abita Light, Samuel Adams Light, Michelob Light, etc.), it's certainly better than Miller Lite. But, Miller Lite sure has a dedicated following.

Tastes like Molson Canadian to me Ron. It's okay. Nothing special, nothing offensive. Got a 6 pack at the local gas station after getting off work at 12 midnight and drank 4 of them. Pairs well with Wisconsin cheese brats obviously

Miller lite, like Coors lite and finally like Bud Lite...it is what you drink when you don't like beer...but want the buzz. I agree that these "half-beers" are not really terrible tasting...just thin, bitter water

H'mm, well, I think Coors Light is the best, just like I think Coors is better than Budweiser and Miller High Life/Miller Genuine Draft. That's a good suggestion for a revisit of Miller Light.
