This is great. My father is from Louisiana and we are Creole folk. He come s from a generation where he understood more than he spoke because it was discouraged, I believe, to "fit in" and not seem like any more negative than already being POC, back in the day. I have always wanted to learn and have been trying lately. I really appreciate it because years ago, there was absolutely nothing that I could find on it. My great-grandmother only spoke it, and used to LOVE to listen to her whenever we would visit.

WOWWWWW! I speak Haitian Creòle because my family is from Haiti and I understand Louisiana Creòle....This is awesome 👏🏽 I also learned that Louisiana and Haitian has a strong history together, I really want to visit NOLA soon. Plus I speak French as well because of my family.

Louisiana Creole is really close to French Guyana Creole

“Kouri”means run in Haitian Creòle and Vini meaning “come”. Does it mean the same in Louisiana Creòle? I’m pretty sure it means the same. We say “Lamaed” “Kayman” the same meaning as well “Krebis” we say “Kribich” pronunciation same but different in Spelling “Mo ini avék late” we say the same in Haitian Creòle instead of “mo” we say “mwen” now I see why people often ask my family and I if we’re from Louisiana whenever we speak Haitian Creòle in public this is why I’ve been in to learning the history of NOLA. I understand everything without the subtitles😁👏🏽As a Haitian American I would love to learn Louisiana Creòle I believe it would be very easy for me to learn the fact that I already speak Haitian Creòle and French. ❤️👍🏽😁 I love it and I’m so proud my parents and grandparents etc taught me Creòle and French at a very young age. Now I will be learning Louisiana Creòle ❤️ can’t wait to visit NOLA.

Are you going to teach the words that actually come from Africans? Did you know that it comes with African spelling?did you know that all Creoles are African and there's no such thing as a grill without an African?are you going to mention how the Louisiana Creole flag has Senegal and Mali on it because that's where they from?I pray to God that the language of the Creoles do not get colonized by the children of the colonizers who forced them to have this language to hide their language from being killed. You should teach the African origin and base of it but you are clearing clinging to the American and European aspects of it all.the American and European aspects to it literally wasn't added until later. The language is infused by mainly 8 African tribal languages.. Like ALL Creoles. It's African, belongs to Africans and is indigenous to Africa.let it be known.I can tell you barely speak it yourself and you need to sit down and learn it from a African yourself.
