Great video. I lived in Louisiana off and in for about 5 years diving in the Gulf. I love it down there, south of the I-10! I was in New Iberia, Lafayette, and Broussard. Louisiana is a special place. Love that boudin and crawfish boils. 23and1 and Royal Kennels I’ll be spreading the word about the channels.

I enjoyed this video. I've never been to jail or prison, but as a south Louisiana resident, I can say, Brian's personality is reflective of most of the people I know, who are easy natured, colorblind and really good storytellers. I look forward to seeing the next video. I'm genuinely shocked to learn that gangs don't rule in Lafourche Parish jail. I'm curious to see if he says the same is true of the LA state prisons.

I spent some time in the Louisiana prison system and the only gangs I've seen were a couple of different clicks of whiteboys from Livingston.other than that everybody is just kinda chillin or beefin with everybody else..Also Livingston Parish has a segregation unit called T.U. that someone outside of the Louisiana DOC needs to investigate.I've been alot of places n seen alot of shit..literally..and people are definitely being tortured in there atleast a little bit.

Ohio here, 6 in, 8 out, 5yr mandatory parole ended 3 yrs ago. Been to 6 facilities, county, intake, close security (level 3), level 2, down to level 1. I might have some crazy stories from my 6 piece, how do I get ahold of you?

In Louisiana, after you hit the "3 strikes and you are out" status, they hit you with what they call a "code six". A "code six" status means they have classified you as a career Criminal. Once you have been "code sixed", you don't catch any breaks when facing any judges. At least not from a Louisiana judge.
