They did something similar up north here in Connecticut with the stripers. They did an emergency slot change.but it took place immediately. I went one day slot was 28in to 35 in , then next day I went back again and it was 28 to 31. They should start running again soon here, mark if you ever get a chance to come up north for some fishing I recommend it. My biggest striper was 46 in last season can't wait for this one.

I read the Indiana fishing regs over and over every year and never completely understand them so I take a printed copy with me when I fish and check it when I catch something. This year the regs for black bass in rivers and streams is five total of any type per day, no fish between 12 and 15 inches may be kept, only two above 15 inches may be kept. I emailed DNR to find out what this means, and please explain how two adds up to five? and can I keep the little ones? I don't, I usually release bass anyway, but I try to be legal.

please don’t be sorry, we as humans do what we do at are best with what we have in front of us. I don’t understand people that just are not happy with what they do but go around looking for mistakes and jumping on it because of there shortcomings and think it make them feel better about themselves. It’s almost like it justifies them self, because to they are only human them self. I just didn’t get it or take the time to try to understand it, because it stop us from moving forward because time never stop, what a waste of time doing this. So the new regulation on red fish has not gone into effect yet? It is still 16” to a max length of 27” and 5 per person? I am heading to La. this friday from Florida to fish for 8 days. Looking on the internet it appears the regulation has yet to be implemented. 🤷

They shouldn't be targeting rod and real fishermen. When the commercial fisherman can keep massive amounts of fish a day.

Its ok to make mistakes, especially when you correct it but the source for your information should have been the LDWF... I even bet that most places that sell fishing license(WalMart, Academy,ect) have the regulation book.
