Doesn't really matter who buys reps. Not everybody can afford it and there are some awesome reps out there that feel and look like the real thing. I hold no judgments against people who buy reps. The old version pochette Métis’ has 7 holes , they changed it to 5 with newer model bags , so that surely wouldn’t be a dead giveaway ! For me with LV the truth is always in the feel ! I can tell the minute I touch an LV bag if it’s real or not ! Someone that didn’t know the brand there is no way they could tell ! I also can’t tell from photos but you can see in this video the authentic is nice and squishy and the replicas are pretty stiff , again something most people wouldn’t know what to look for ! Easy to get ripped off if you don’t know what your looking at ! If I saw someone walk by with that replica unless I touched it I wouldn’t be able to tell ! Replicas will never be made in USA , that’s an easy way for someone to know they are buying an authentic pre loved bag ! Fakes are always stamped made in France ! Hi thank you for doing this video. I ma not sure yet as of which one is authentic and which one is not. When you buy an original LV bag, they come with a certificate of auth. Also an original bag comes with code inside the lining and the patterns of the LV monogram are supposed to be even at the beginning all the way through the other side. LV makes sure all the leather is in one piece. The hardware is made out of bronze which over time oxidized. The inside lining is always yellowish and canvas material, not suede. You can also count the stitches. They are supposed to be 5 in each side. I think they are both two different replicas. Please can you tell us more about your original bag? LV

The gold hardware is a dead giveaway on all replicas. The gold is shinier and has a tint of orange to it unlike the authentic ones. The replicas are also lighter in color than the authentic. It looks like it’s faded.

Replica bags tend to have a bad or string chemical odor.

Regardless of the *yutulux* bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.

The hardware gives it away, hands down. Replicas have gotten so much better with time, but they haven't been able to get rid of the "yellowy gold" on the hardware. It's like the difference between a $10 ring and a $2000 ring, and unfortunately... between the straps, the clasp in front, and even the rivets on the side, you can't get away from that cheap looking hardware. I've purchased replica bags, pre-loved authentic bags, and 2 bags directly from LV, and there's no getting away from that telltale cheap looking gold on replicas. You don't have to be comparing them one on one to see it either. "Cheap" stands out , no matter what it is. I'm thrilled that more pieces are coming out with silver hardware (the Escale Collection, for example) because I just don't think replica silver hardware would be so noticeable, if at all.
