What is love and what defines art? Humans have theorized, debated, and argued over these questions for centuries. As researchers become closer and closer to boiling these concepts down to a science, A.I. projects become closer to becoming alternatives for romantic companions and artists in their own right.
The Age of A.I. is a 8 part documentary series hosted by Robert Downey Jr. covering the ways Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Neural Networks will change the world.

I want to know what the constraints for that record are. 200kph is SLOW for racing. Let alone a world record. It's massively impressive to get the AI car around the track, not trying to knock that... Just poking fun at their idea that 120mph is a real record to break... Throw a GT cup car, LMS GT or F1 on the track and they'll easily reset the 200kph record. 😜

like the movie director said, "Literally all interpretation is projection." everything, even BENJAMIN is based on input. we are too, from conception to death our brains, our minds, our consciousness is based on what input has entered our brains through our senses and experiences. the actual framework of humanity is the physics of the brain and our bodies. all the chemicals, structures, proteins, atoms, particles, everything inside the 'skin bag' is what a human being is. perhaps this director and digital artist and BENJAMIN need a neurologist/neuroscientist to help them design a better model of communications analysis?

@lesliekilgore648
@lesliekilgore648 4 жыл бұрын
nope not really, AI just solves a problem. 'add 2 + 2 and tell me the answer'. is all it really does. AI is NOT creative, it can only do what it's told to do or what it's asked to do and it's singular limitation is WHAT DATA WE'VE FED IT. AI has no intuitive leaps. AI only has linear thought, A then B then C then... and so forth. repeat as necessary to get the answer the human asked it. yea, AI can ask a bajillioin questions of it's data. but all it can produce is a STATISTICAL LIKELYHOOD of a correct answer. yeah, it may be the answer is correct, but it's merely a bajillion WRONG ANSWERS ending up with a correct one.
@alalalala57
@alalalala57 4 жыл бұрын
@@lesliekilgore648 Machine learning already is intuitive. It takes what it learns and predicts what should be, even for events that it never experienced. But rather than gut feeling, it can actually understand ALL of the input data intuitively without fail. AI doesn't forget or overlook. By your definition, this isn't creativity but it's creativity on overdrive. I would reckon actual creativity is about giving meaning. Everything that you said AI can do and do better but it doesn't yet understand the meaning of the things it does. It doesn't have intent. It doesn't give and understand value. It can easily create a billion new paintings easily but it has yet to understand that it just did that, and the fact that it did that is revolutionary. When it does, it would've reached true intelligence.

Check out two minute papers' videos to see impressive machine learning tools that are being made. Feel like everything in this series has been seen and done lots of times. The robot sex dolls at the start of this were barely AI, they just respond to pre programmed questions lol

2 Minute papers is superb for AI stuff going on. His summations let us casual AI fans get a grip on what is happening out on the bleeding edge. The robot dollies were coded as just a decision tree, but the concept is there. Imagine if the dolly man had the WETA or Stan Winston on board to help with the dolly skin and mechatronics...

I really struggle to see why the topic of robots being portrayed as female upsets people. Robots being portrayed as female does not objectify women but rather it "womanizes" objects (robots). I believe the reason we do this is that humans (or at least men) are biologically/instinctively wired to find female characteristics (such as appearance and voice) to be more calming, pleasant and nicer than that of male characteristics. If anything this highlights the fact that we men likes the presence of women and wants them around.
@dolltron6965

That's correct however that comes from 'woke' feminist culture, no serious academic thinks that nonsense, they never say the male dolls objectify men, they never say that dildo or phallic objects which do not even have the full form of a man objectify men (even more so since you are throwing the man away and using a phallic object in place), it's one sided hypocritical nonsense.

I seem to remember volumenous book about game programming and collision detection algorithms. I also remember masterclass of design, coding and game - Total Anihillation. Quarter century old RTS game, which some people run successfully today on 4k displays, despite original, 'recommended' requirements being Pentium 120 MHz and 32 MB (that's with 'M'). Somehow it managed to track up 500 units + their shells over 3D terrain. AI was... well; not on the level of Z and on occassion it bottled up units building factory in wrong place. Still, the way how units navigated was amazing; holds up even today. The code in that game used to solve quite similar subclass of problem, tracking 3 modes of reaction to spotting hostile units... on hardware built IN A CAVE WITH BUNCH OF SCRAPS compared to what single Nvidia board for embedded system offers. Also - ST TNG episode "Booby Trap" has relevant quote.... for 40 years we have autonomous cruise missiles, shuttles capable of almost autonomous mission and ships and airliners that basically fly themselves. What is fundamentally wrong with translating it into cars?

Wow I’ve had a similar idea for Benjamin and I don’t want to share it.. but I want it a reality... an AI you taught to script and draw anime, create the scenes theme, place, setting, draw it all and create complex characters with plot and back story... but you could have, infinite anime tv, it could live stream fresh anime 24/7, could rip a portal. And hopefully the portal would stay contained in the anime.

I wrote 3 novels about AI, exploring it. One of the things that I came up with, out've pure logic, is that AI does not tolerate competition. For anything. Even in its human relationship. Oh, and the only limiting factor to AI? God.

@@Monk-E A lot of companies are making cars with the promise of self driving but none of them are even close to a real product they can scale. Tesla is years ahead of everyone else, even giants like Google that have thrown billions at this. Tesla got the whole EV market going and that's great. I love seeing that happen but the gap between it and everyone else just gets wider as Elons investment in battery technology is finally starting to pay off giving their cars greater range than anyone else. It just looks a bit embarassing for the giant car manufacturers that have ignored this market for so long and now are scrambling to compete or still head in sand pretending electric isn't the future...And it clearly has to be or we're all done for.

I think Tesla cars are semi autonomous not fully self - driving, self driving means doing everything with no help at all or level 5 driving . Tesla cars are level 3 max tho I’m not 100% sure in this.

Understanding creativity in AI when writing Bobo and girlfriend is just like learning to play drum beats. You take all the beats you have learned and make new ones no one has thought of yet. That's how humans do it, why not AI.

Emotions seem hard to recreate, but if we think about it hard enough, our brain is kinda like code, we choose what to do depending on what is happening, what we know, how we were thought to do it. So it is kinda like a complicated version of AI learning. The only difference is humans have different ways to go about life. So the most obvious flaw is that multiple robots act the same, but if there was several personalities robots can have or a trait randomizer, there would be almost no difference. Another flaw is that robots aren't aggresive, aggression is a part of humans, without it robots seem too perfect. Because there are almost no people without any aggression, deep inside you do get angry, but robots are made to be calm,kind and always be good no matter what. It is still awesome what they can do, the aggression part is needed so robots wouldn't be dangerous.
