Love bird and quaker parrot taking a bath

They do love their baths on a daily basis, just like I enjoy my bath once a month...Unfortunately both these birds are now dead, the lovebird died from an aneurysm from stress from the shiba inu a year and a half ago, and the parrot died today July 20, 2009. The parrot was outside on the fence sitting and a stray cat came around, jumped up grabbed the bird and ran off with him. Today is a sad today, as this was the best bird I've ever known, he was 7 years old and his name was Kramer :(

I was in my backyard last week and a Quaker came out of nowhere and landed on my shoulder. I'm taking care of him while I try to find the owners. He's a great bird.

I know how it feels. I lost a beloved cockatoo from my own dog. That's my birds are supervised all the time now. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Omg! I just did a video of mine taking a bath after months of trying to get him to use it. I only have the one love bird. So sad about your birds... especially Kramer.

Why was a helpless pet parrot outside? Cats, crows & hawks are opportunistic. Mostly cats will easily hunt birds; they are the #1 reason indigenous bird populations have plummeted. Great job humans.

The Bread Cat oh no I’m so sorry to hear that 😞 that sounds horrible. If you put him in a plastic bag in your freezer you can preserve him for a while.

What beautiful birdies! ^_^ I have 1 lovebird, he broke his beak from flying into a mirror. It looks like he has 3 sections to the beak :( But he has lived for about 4 years now, 2 1/2 after the incident

ODsurvivalskills they do it on there own for example my Quaker if you put a bowl full of water she swims in it by herself

Restarea11019V I have a Quaker as well she just takes a bath when she wants to. For example me and my mum leave a bowl full of warm water on the table beside her cage. When she feels like it she bathes (mostly in the middle of the week like Tuesday or so)

Kramer's death is your fault. Why would you ever let the bird outside, there is all kinds of dangers - hawks, cats, etc. and they do like to fly away!!!!!!!!!!
