I agree Jacqui, I thought he was a very decent straight up guy, and (although I'm a hetero, happily married male) I would have thought a lot of women would have seen him as a good looking young man, with a positive outlook and a cheeky (in a nice sort of way) smile. Oh that must have been because he didn't finish his education.....I thought he was pretty polite about the whole situation and figured out early in the date that there wasn't going to be a repeat performance - I'm sure it was very difficult for him to get over it, NOT. I'm sure after this date he was just fine, went on to marry some wonderful woman who could appreciate his polite demeanour, his patience (let's go shopping for pantyhose....I'm sure hes been married for 40 years with four adult children and 3 grandchildren. Yeah, I’ll never understand people who have attitude like this woman. The fact is, personality and heart are essential for any relationship to work out. When you start a relationship with high expectations of the other person, you don’t allow them to be the person they are, and therefore will end up regretting you and the things that you did to them… Simply because this woman wants perfection that doesn’t exist. You can spend your entire life looking for Mr. or Mrs. perfect… Or you can enjoy a relationship with somebody and make it as perfect as you possibly can. As, a relationship is nothing without two people working on making their lives fit in with each other. Most relationships start out with pieces of the puzzle missing. You can choose to either work together to find a solution in order to finish it… Or you can simply buy a new puzzle and see if that has all of the pieces you need. It’s much easier to choose the puzzle that doesn’t need any pieces… That way you can have perfection from the start. The problem with perfection is that, after a while, it gets boring. You have nothing to talk about, nothing to set goals for. Whereas, choosing the puzzle with some missing pieces allows you to explore and build on what is already there and make it extraordinary. RK Music Hits omgee! Funny how that happens- only on FB! Been there myself. It seemed like she was pretty interested in finding a guy who would financially support her, and personality wasn't as important. I guess I just never found that important, or necessary, as the content of character being key in long term companionship, but I'm a bit younger, and the child of hippies, so that was never emphasized, I suppose. There are way more important things that help us evolve as humans, like creativity. I can tell you were drinking in this passion, even wrote her a song, and she still didn't stray from the practical and rigid idea she had of a mate. It sounds like she let loose from that at some point, and it didn't become as important to her to construct a path and stay the course. Good for her! Life is too short and unpredictable. I'm glad you never lost your passion to the trappings of "business" as usual. I still believe music moves the masses more than money.
