Defne told Omer when she threw water on Yasemin how lonely, insecure and incomplete she felt after both parents left them. She helps him all the time with advice and assistance, but he makes no effort to understand her. While she tries to understand him to make him as happy as possible. Later he will promise to rewrite Defne's history into a happier version, but Defne is busy rewriting his.

My sentiments exactly. I’m so riled up when Defne ask Omer if he’d fall in love with fikret if Defne is NOT in the picture, not met Omer, fikret came back & she reconnect with Omer. Let her now experience her childhood since she didn't have one. Her insecurity due to separation anxiety is also not important. We should only consider the trauma from Omer's childhood as relevant.

To do this, she will also have to free herself from the family chains and learn to stand up for herself and stand on her own two feet without their interference. No matter how loving the family seems; they limit her growth. Yet Omer's experiences with his grandfather should be viewed in a more nuanced way. His childhood would have been traumatic so they must be taken into account. But he himself has decided to run away and turn his back on everyone. Ultimately, he was well taken care of by the same grandfather. Although Omer doesn't know that yet. Defne is kept under restraint by grandma and she does not want to be ungrateful because Turkan is the only family member they have now.

@@ilsea31 what bothered me was how she picked and chose who and when to stand up.....I disagreed with her excuses for one main reason.....Omer had a right to know and the sooner the better.....she put everyone's elses interest in front of Omer.....I honestly believe that if he had known sooner he may hve not left....at least not for so long.

Why is it inappropriate ? Defne was supposed to be at the meeting. Omer loved how she took over the meeting. Because Defne a woman not a man. Women in real life save a lot of business. And the two men where very impress with Defne performance so was Omer.

But Omer left the room confused and frustrated not knowing what will happen next. And then she shows up, with Omer still wondering what’s gonna happen next. She didn’t take it over. Omer had plenty of time talking with them prior to Defne’s arrival. When she arrived, they spoke directly to her and engaged her in the conversation. They acknowledged their appreciation for her being there due to her being a great designer and asset. Are we watching the same thing? 😂 But let’s be real, the writers chose for her to lead the conversation to show her strength and smarts. Omer loved every minute, which again is what the writers were trying to portray. You seem hurt because the writers chose to make Defne a strong female lead in this scene. 🤔 And are we really calling Omer Defne’s superior? 😂😂😂😂 No-no, Omer and Sinan have both said they think of their employees as equals. However Defne is more than an employee. Hello! 🤣 Omer isn’t stupid. While he may have left the room upset because they were still fighting, he and Defne both know their true feelings and that all would be ok. This meeting was a perfect way to mend this particular bump for them. As we know there are many more bumps to come. Lol!
