Thanks for your open support of trans people Natalie 🏳️‍🌈❤️. As a queer crafter myself it is not always clear the values of the people you follow/watch in the knitting world, especially as a certain portion of the community is quite anti-feminist/trad wife/"traditional lifestyle" type of people, which is not something I'm comfortable supporting in views or follows. I've always had the sense that you are quite an open minded person, but sometime it's difficult to tell, and it's so wonderful to hear you openly speak in support of the queer community, especially of trans people who are so often maligned❤️🏳️‍🌈

As a guy sock knitter I have always wondered what Kent did for a living. It didn't surprise me in your q and a in what he does now. It's great that you both work together for your business. I thank you ever so kindly for your answer for us all. Ken

As a knitter and a mom of a trans son I am really grateful for your open support of the trans community. Brought tears to my eyes actually. Just wanted you to know how much it means. Thank you🌈❤

My 2 pups Reese and Charlie sleep with my daughter when she comes to visit. They couldn't care less about my husband and me the entire time Amanda is here lol. Toaster is so cute - especially all snuggled up under that blanket with his head on a pillow).

As much as I love having visitors, I finally realized that it's okay to feel the need to reclaim my space a little. I have used work as my excuse to do that, since it's about the only thing that my family won't argue about. If I say a need a few hours in the morning to get some work done, they respect that :-) Although my MIL is the best at constantly reminding everyone not to bother me, usually in a very loud voice: "I don't know where Annette keeps the tourniquet, but we can't bother her because she's WORKING." I also want to say thanks for the great content you are sharing with the world this season! I really appreciate how you keep it authentic - it's not easy to be vulnerable. Taking joy in the small things is what's getting me through this year :-)

I loved the Q&A segment! For the having children question, I also don’t mind it. I love sharing my experience and I love hearing others’ reasons for the choice whether to have children and if so when. I think it also helps people feel not alone in their choices because someone else has made the same choices too, even though the undercurrent of society pressures young families to expand. Thanks for being open to sharing! It’s been so cool to see your channel continue to grow and support your whole family! Also, you put it perfectly that JKR’s behavior has put a damper on HP. Harry Potter is a huge part of my childhood, but her harmful viewpoints can’t be ignored or condoned. Anyway, lots of deep stuff, but I love your channel for the fun knitting stuff and the everything else ❤

Nat this was such a lovely episode! I always enjoy how much we have in common but this video was like talking to an old friend. I am also from the south, was a ballerina for 12 years, enjoy sports and crafting....and also was completely let down by jkr after having loved hp for decades.. Might I suggest the Earthsea books by Ursula Le Guin for anyone else heartbroken by the hp stuff.

As a grandmother and mother, I told my children if they wanted or didn't want kids was their choice not mine. Many parents push their kids to have kids. But my experience is people who have kids because they were made to feel they had to, can later regret that choice. Many don't because babies are wonderful in their own right, but if you don't really want kids, please don't have them. It's up to you not anyone else. I love being a grandmother but I never expected t be one. And I almost wasn't. My son married and they thought she couldn't have kids. That doctor did not know about my side of the family evidently, cause I had 2 daughters with my husband who was told he'd not have kids. We are a very fertile gene pool evidently. lol I'm currently knitting baby things for my niece. Love your channel and hope you and Kent have a wonderful Holiday season.

We started Wednesday too. It is a little like Harry Potter or Sabrina the Teenage Witch. We're enjoying it. Have you seen Derry Girls? It's Irish and set in the 1990s. I'm rewatching it with my husband and enjoying the fun dialogue and characters. Vlogmas is taking a lot of time too. I fast forward through montages so it goes faster. So many! Can't catch 'em all! Thanks for Q&A. Liked All of this and Nat but if you couldn't do both you chose rightly because cleaning can be repetitive and mundane. I didn't watch em all because I too must clean!

I am a textile conservator and never recommend storing any textile in a plastic bag. I would strongly recommend if your wedding shawl is important, take it out and put it in a pillowcase (keeps bug and dust and mostly light off preventing fading). And I always say visit with your piece often but always fold it in a different way to prevent permanent fold marks. 😉

Will you be adding short rows to your pants Natalie? I seem to remember that the shorts you made were a little shorter in the back crotch than you liked. I love how this advent yarn is knitting up. Every day when you open your advents, I gasp along with you in delight. So pretty! Loving your vlogmas again this year.... you and Kent are a good team, and doing a great job! Thanks for our viewing pleasure! Do you ever watch Penrose Knits? She's doing a lovely vlogmas this year as well, and sometimes we catch a glimpse of her watching you! Wow natalie! I didn't know that we had ballet in common. I was very very into ballet all the way up through college and thought I would possibly go professional. I didn't want to quit at the end of high school so I decided to go to Indiana University to be a ballet major there. Most of the ballet Majors went on to professional careers. I think their website says that 99% do, and I always think it's funny that I'm probably the 1%. LOL

Hey Natalie, I've read that entire series and I plan to read it again in the near future. I've basically forgotten how it ends, but that's my super power. I’m happy to hear your thought about expending your family. I’m the same! When I was 20-21, I would’ve had a kid anytime. My relation at that time didn’t last so it’s a good thing I didn’t have one 😂 but now that I’m almost 33, I’m really not in a rush anymore. I like my life right now and don’t feel like I need a child to feel fulfilled.

Two thoughts as I watch one of my favorite podcast episodes ever: 1.) As a doctor in 2022, I live by my pager. Unfortunately, that is a thing. 2.) I love your support for the trans community. My brother is trans. We now say that Harry Potter has no author, but still, it will never be the same.
