When you get a chance listen while concentrating on Scotts bass line. Tim said when he received the track from Scott, he wondered what Scott was thinking when listening to it separately ,but in the mix he realized it was beyond anything he could have arranged for him.

They really did this song justice. It might not be quite as tight/clean as this studio version, but they performed it live during their 2022 reunion concert with the addition of a hand percussionist, 2nd keyboard player, Toby on 2nd electric guitar, and Rachel vocals (also seen in Mr. Sandman). The concert video remains available for higher Patreon levels; highly recommended even for just 1 month for that. Did ya catch Mom's debut with clapping?

Jeff, "A Gift to the World" is exactly right. Chase has her own web site that unfortunately KZfaq won't let me reference. She said just last night that she has a new album coming out so it is likely you may be getting some requests for her stuff soon. In their last video you asked about favorites. I think this is at least the third video that you have called your favorite. You are not alone. What is even more interesting is that if you go back and listen to some of the ones that weren't your favorite, now that you know more about the group you might find you enjoy them even more than you did the first time around. At least that is what happened to me.

Been watching F&F for years and they do excellent covers. Chase has a voice that is so strong and can really punch you in the heart. Check out their cover of "Telling Me Lies".

Chase has a terrific voice! You should hear their cover of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John with Chase doing lead vocals! She does a fantastic job! I hope in the future we'll also hear some future songs with 3 layer vocal harmonies from the Foxes similar to SheDaisy!

I would characterize her voice as Contralto. Those complex harmonies just seemed to flow out effortlessly...I don't know how they do that! The tone of that Strat solo at the end was just perfect!! Lovely work by all involved...glad you enjoyed this one, Jeff.

Its always been a hobby for them. Recording contract requires promotion and touring and that was never a consideration with the girls careers, band member's other musical or work commitments etc. It was something fun for the girls to do while they were still living at home (half dozen gigs a year) and they quit playing in 2017 just as the YT ch. started getting attention. So they started doing studio recordings in 2019 with band members living in 5 states at the time.

“Half” of F&F - Chase (again!), Tim, Darwin and Johnny - perform live in the studio in the video of Todd’s “It Wouldn’t Have Made Any Difference” recorded during lockdown. It’s another keeper, and features a bass overdub from Richard Meeder.

I’m actually more familiar with the Seals and Crofts rendition of this song than Rundgren’s.. anyone else? edited to add.. Actually England Dan and John Ford Coley did the version I’m thinking of.

@Hettepop - I learned things I hadn't known before by thinking about your comment. When the verrsion came out that you're referring to, I think I thought it was Seals and Crofts, also. But it was actually England Dan and John Ford Coley. I did not know Todd Rundgren wrote it until much later. (That's how limited my musical knowledge was in my earlier years.) And in fact, I'd never heard another cover of the song until Foxes and Fossils put theirs up. I just listened to Todd Rundgren's band doing it and it is really good. (Didn't know about his band either.) I like it better than England Dan and John Ford Coley, but the F&F version really slays me. By the way, I got more of an appreciation of Todd Rundgren by watching Live From Daryl's House. He and Daryl (Hall) apparently are close friends.

F&F covered Todd Rundgren's "We gotta get you a woman" at the Twisted Taco back in 2012. It's an EXCELLENT cover of that song, and as usual, ridiculous recording quality for a parking lot!
