Years ago I read a great book, it had humour and great insight....The book was called "Sacred and Naked" by Ruth Ostrow, each chapter explained various experiences in her life and her take on them. Two profound chapters I remember were: one on her fathers passing and the other called "Language of love" how her mother was not tactile, she was also not one for saying "I love you" but after a long trip away, [Ruth is a journalist] she would return home to a table groaning under the weight of beautiful food and friends and family. She could have been forgiven for thinking because her mother never hugged or said words of love that she didn't care - how much love would she have missed in not seeing that that was her mothers way of saying.... I love you SO much.
