Is rare to discover new songs from Them. My heart is melting away. Cuore bianco 🤍

This song is so nice, danceable, and so nostalgic that it creates tears in my heart for a time I never lived.

Great great song and great to have Decca stull and so wrong to say no to them.

Whatever you think of it, it was this song and this recording that - along with Hello Little Girl - got the Beatles their start, when Ardmore and Beechwood wanted the publishing rights for EMI and referred the Beatles to George Martin at Parlophone ...

Love of the Loved" is a song written mainly by Paul McCartney, credited to Lennon-McCartney. It is one of his earliest compositions and featured in the Beatles live act in their early days. The group recorded the song at their 1962 audition for Decca Records, but never issued it on any of their official releases. Instead, Cilla Black recorded it for her debut single, which was produced by George Martin. The single reached No. 35 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1963.[1] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_of_the_Loved

This could've been there ist no1 single ..but instead it was given to cilla black who had a minor hit with it ..still even now a great song

I wouldn't think it would be a #1. It's a simple song. It a really great song though. I would much rather this be on Please Please Me or With The Beatles.

I see this being a small hit, probably would be a bside or something
@jamesschreppler38742 жыл бұрын
The Cilla Black arrangement of the song is horrible. I can't believe George Martin produced that. With the single vocal line and the lyrics it's a crooner's song. So I can see why the Beatles never released it. But with a slower tempo and very few other changes Elvis or any of them could have taken it Top 10 in 1962.

@@jamesschreppler3874Mind if you explain further in detail, from start to finish? I didn't hear any issue with the arrangement and vocals.

How has this not been officially released?
@societalrevival12188 ай бұрын
if you mean the song, I guess they never found a place for it in their albums. however, it was officially released when McCartney gave it to Cilla Black to sing! as we all know, McCartney loved giving/writing songs to and for contemporary pop acts. if you mean this recording, this was an audition demo and would sound very out of place in its sound to any of their future recorded efforts. if you mean the whole audition, it was issued for a vinyl release and released in 1979 for the universal and wholesome goal of making a lot of money. the cover of my video is similar to the cover they used but it’s not exact.

@@societalrevival1218 I meant, why was this song left off Anthology 1?
@societalrevival12188 ай бұрын
@@WinkDaMan07 well, they included a couple songs off the Decca tapes. I guess they didn’t wanna include all because it would become tedious (in the context of Anthology 1 that is). as for why they excluded this song in particular, I wish I knew cuz I think it would’ve been good on anthology 1

Decca records made the wrong decision back in 1962 to reject the beatles.

It definitely has that late 50s quality.. some of the songs are kind of wacky.. I think Paul tries to imitate Elvis a lot on this recording lol

Elvis was one of their heroes after all! Massive influence on the young boys, particularly Lennon who seemed most infatuated with American rock n roll

Paul Presley not as good as Mc Cartney. The better they got the more British and natural they sounded.
@MegaPlexy2 жыл бұрын
Paul tries to be American (Elvis) too much - sounds a bit artificial. Maybe one of the reasons they were declined.
@thomaspappalardo7589 Жыл бұрын
This is actually one of the better performances from any of them. George has some fumbling solos (but sings pretty well), Paul’s voice cracks on Til There Was You, Pete’s drumming is fairly samey, and John sounds absolutely terrified on Money.
@MAMRetro6 ай бұрын
They were declined because, yes, they sounded mediocre in several songs, but that was the list of songs that Decca demanded of Brian Epstein; half the songs the Beatles never played.
