HARUNA is my favorite metal drummer. Agree, she has a unique flair in her cymbal work and would add the rests and spirts in her peddle work is also part of her signature, but in JUDGEMENT DAY she is leveraging more of a straight 16th note foundation. The transition fills though on that track have HARUNA written all over them though. Enjoyed your analysis. 🤘🐺🤘

I bought the CD/DVD again from JPU because when it was announced, it hadn’t even occurred to me that the original pre-order from cdjapan wouldn’t cater for the English language. Would Lovebites be ‘bigger’ if their promotion was more considered towards an international market? Who knows… we’re a pretty close-minded bunch if I’m brutally honest, judging by the metal hammer Facebook responses to Judgement Day’s release.

As you said, who knows, close-minded people is definitely an issue, but there are tons of open-minded people as well. It also depends on the group of people, you say Metal Hammer Facebook post was bad, but I for example saw really good reception on the PowerMetal subreddit. Either way, good promotion is never a bad thing.

@@nanoscorner6976 what’s the cliche, there’s no such thing as bad publicity! The general response was positive, just a few metal snobs and mysogynists making unnecessary comments is all. Shame, but we can’t have it all.

I really like that JPU has English subs but in 2022 this should be standard ON THE DVD ITSELF. Having subtitles is such a big deal for us in the West. And this is not just a Lovebites issue by the way, most Jmetal bands fail miserably on having subs in their Live DVD's. Haruna is awesome, i missed a shirt last year i really wanted to get and she sold it again this year so i had to get it plus the acrylic drums thingy!! 🤘🐺🤘

I did not like Asami's lower register in Nameless Warrior, but I liked it a lot in this one. It sounds much better.

That’s why LoveBites and other Japanese bands are so unknown, it’s all about bad marketing and the Japanese culture that can’t think global, they are stuck in their own world!

Its slowly getting better, SLOWLY, I remember being a fan of japanese music 10 years ago, it was much worse.
