Asami said that all the tracks were written with a conscious effort to feature the bass because they wanted to showcase the new bassist as they were confident that they would have a superb musician, whoever they chose, and that having chosen them they wanted them to shine. This alone tells you all you need to know about the character of the band. Fami had a finished album to provide ten bass lines for the day after the reveal video was filmed, and had a pro tools bass line by Miyako to work with, only because the song needed some sort of bass element, however raw. Whoever was chosen would have been in the same situation. Fami had leeway to make the performances her own. She said she was conscious of not overplaying but also of making her mark. Fami was chosen not only because of her virtuosity but because of her ability to absorb information and adapt between the two live stages of the audition, because of the fact that she had studied the band’s performances and made sure she fitted in, performance wise, but lastly, and possibly the clincher, because they sensed that her tangible aura and effervescence would revitalise the band. And that it has, in spades. Their social media posts ooze *FUN*

I say it to every reaction of this song...50+ years of metal listening, and this song is my all-time favorite song. The solo run is incredible. It's not just a dual lead guitar solo run, it's a triple threat as Fami is right there as an integral part of the solos. I love the first handoff from Midori to Miyako as it just drops and Fami's bass line kicks into a different gear.

Lovebites are very addictive as you can see just how amazing they are, Lovebites is sheer perfection and destroys the norm of all other bands. Many will say since the addition with Fami they have gotten better and yes it is a change-up but not to say they have gotten better because they were just as good with the former bassist Miho. the only difference is youth!
