The song that put the band on the map. BTW, on August 28, Lovebites will be releasing a new EP called "Lovebites EP II" with 5 new tracks. On the same day, they'll also be releasing a new LIVE LP called "Memorial for the Warrior Souls". This LIVE LP is from the Tokyo leg of the band's "judgement Day" tour held last year.

This song keeps getting better with each live performance. Not sure what they do (might be the stage performance), but they find ways to make a great song even better. ....and with Miyako being pregnant during this concert and playing as she did was amazing.

The thing I like most about this song amidst all the wonderful guitar playing , bass playing and vocals is that Haruna , in the middle of a song that runs for 6 minutes at 155BPM , STILL manages to find time to twirl her sticks ! 🤣 🤘🤘🤘

I watched Miyako on her KZfaq channel and she has a 3 part series of her composing a song, OMG that lady has talent, the way she just comes up with the guitar riff and then just builds on it bit by bit is mesmerising.

Lovebites is literally all styles of metal rolled into one band, and then performed at the highest level. And they are five hot Japanese chicks. Lovebites is unique. 2024 is their breakout year. This song was their first big hit in 2017. Talk about a Gateway drug. Some bands arent quite up too snuff live as they are in studio. Lovebites says not so fast my friend have some of this. Can you imagine if this band was out in the late 80's. There would had been posters of this band Everywhere and I mean Everywhere. The work ethic and complete immersion of this band is truly one for the ages. Lovebites is Today's RacerX just in All Female form and with a Better singer......Fire!

This concert was released on the "Heavy Metal Never Dies - Live in Tokyo 2021" DVD. The concert where Miyako was about 4 months pregnant. Song is from their 1st album, Awakening From Abyss. Lyrics by Asami, music by Miyako, then known as Mi-Ya. What was that again that makes you Happy?! 🤣 Where to next for LOVEBITES?? Suggest "Golden Destination" from this same 2021 concert, or "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)" from the 2023 Knockin' At Heaven's Gate concerts.

I like this perfection that Lovebites seems to be aiming for. The goal seems to be that we want to sound better than we did in the studio! How do we do that? Imagine if any band worked as professionally as Lovebites! My problem is that since I've known Lovebites, I've judged every other band by them. Because I now know that it is possible to play live concerts almost perfectly. So I expect that from any band that plays live. I love Lovebites and I hate old school metal. But Lovebites, is just fantastic. The skill of this band is a completely new level for me.

Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.😃 Very nice reaction and impression.👍👍👍👍👍 Apparently the PA💻 engineer that they had originally requested for the first UK and Belgium performances canceled at the last minute🤣 Asami-san mentioned on the radio that in the UK, the in-ear monitors were also intermittent, so they turned them off midway through the performance and managed to get through it.😭 A new PA engineer, Chris, joined from Germany, and the sound equipment blended together to create the usual ❤️LOVEBITES sound🎶❤️, and the sound quality seems to have improved at the festival in Spain.😆↗️ The sound for the second UK🇬🇧 performance was much better than the last time! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

yeah those who got to be at that London show were very lucky to be that close to them a totally different and intimate experience just imagine walking into your local Bar/Pub and that was going on , one last thing i do not recall ever seeing Metalica , Iron Maiden or Judas Priest smiling much either lol it fracking Metal dude smiling is for Pop acts !

I also consider Shadowmaker to be a masterpiece. The first of several from Miyako. I also consider these other Miyako compositions to be masterpieces - When Destinies Align, Swan Song, Dystopia Symphony, and Soldier Stands Solitarily.

"Today Is The Day" is a LoveBites' song that doesn't get too much reactor love, but imo, is very well written. From the galloping rythm, octaves, dives bombs and pinch harmonics; every note in that song just fits.

Thank you for your continuing support for Lovebites. I went to see them play at both the London gigs of their recent tour. I was one of those watching the New Cross sound check. I regret have to say this, but the New Cross was a very poor venue for such a talented band, small, scruffy and with a tiny stage that the ladies could barely fit on. That they performed as well as they did there speaks volumes for their professionalism and dedication. The second gig at The Garage in Highbury London is much better. Still small enough to be intimate, but with a decent size stage and much better acoustics. I was near the stage on the right hand side of the auditorium where I had a good view across the stage behind Miyako to Haruna, who I watched with awe throughout the show. I'm nearly 75 and have seen a lot of good bands and musicians play in my time, including drummers such as John Bonham and Neil Peart, both of whom I love, but never one like Haruna. (Before anyone jumps on me, I'm not saying anyone is better than anyone else, the styles are different, but all equally great in my humble opinion.) I'm not a musician, my music experience is limited to a few piano lessons over 60 years ago, but I like to think I know a good or even a great musician when I hear one, and for me all the members of Lovebites are firmly in the GREAT category. 🐺

These gals just put out masterpiee after masterpiece, so now I expect nothing less from them. Miyako is the genius musical creator and all the girls back her up to the hilt , and then some. This band is like a Mac truck , plowing thru all the competition, but in such a feminine and polite way. Astounding band that people will still be talking about for decades. Would love to hear comments from Metallica, Judas Priest etc

There is nothing that this band can't perform LIVE and thus is one of M&M's favorite songs to perform LIVE!!! This was the COVID show and this was a highly restricted venue that was DEAD, yet the band rocked the place to the ground all night. Miyako played piano, synth, keytar and guitar despite being 4/5 months pregnant and rocked through the entire set!!! These musicians will either inspire you to try harder to be better or intimidate you to the point of giving up.....LOL

I just recently saw them live in Italy. Even though I went in with the highest of expectations, I was really not ready for possibly the best concert I've ever been to, or the amazing people there shouting ole ole ole lovebites like it was a football match lol. It was an amazing experience, and I can't wait to see them again in Dallas in September.
