Another masterpiece. The lady who shuffled from the piano to shred the guitar and then back to the piano is Miyako. She's a concert-level pianist who has been trained on the keyboard since she was 3 years old. Miyako is a generational talent who is also an established music composer and arranger. Recently, she released her debut piano EP called "Étude Op.23" where she reimagined and interpreted 6 famous rock/metal songs into piano pieces. You should check those out too, they're amazing !

And yes, Miyako is a multi-instrumentalists, she plays piano/keyboards/keytar, drums, bass guitar, violin, cello and in her youth brass instruments. All other members can play the piano to, you can see singer Asami play the piano in the songs “Today Is The Day” and “We The United”

Dude you've just discovered a transcendent band on a global mission. LOVEBITES is more than an excellent group of superbly talented musicians. That they made such great effort to sing such deep and meaningful lyrics ... in their in a language that's not their own ... are among the reasons why LOVEBITES is such an inspiration to me and so many fans.

Miyako is unreal. The piano outro never fails to move me no matter how often I’ve heard it. Asami is a phenomenal singer and lyricist. This band is the complete package.

Miyako is basically a classic pianist who also plays guitar. Piano is her primary instrument. Miyako is an exceptional case. She is high level professional as both a pianist and a guitarist. She also sings professional second singer level, she harmonizes. She also plays drums and bass at level of high amateur or average professional. Midori plays key boards but never plays in concerts. Asami plays piano too but kind of hobby level, she occasionally plays piano on stage though. Fami plays keyboards and guitar of high amateur level as well, and I'm pretty sure she might play drums. Fami also sings. Haruna plays keyboards too.

This song is so beautiful, and probably my favorite from them, but then come the "E" songs and Frozen Serenade. And then sometimes I just want to thrash out with Break the Wall, Thunder Vengeance and Hammer of Wrath. What a band. My favorite of all time. They're so, so amazing.

their words are no empty words: at the end 2020 they were already ready to take the world. then corona came! they were able to do one restricted show in march 2021. then all cultural stuff including musical events were shut down for an unknown period of time, japanese prime minister stated that "music is not necessary". miyako became mother in the summer 0f 2021, asami and miyako both married their partners, I believe, and in august 2021 founder, backbone and bassplayer miho decided to leave the band. and on top all the daily stuff with family and household, I relally thought, they were done. but I underestimated their resilience and determination: they kept true to their words and after a hiatus of about two yearsm they were back with a new fantastic bassplayen a fantastic new album and better then ever. wath "the hammer of wrath live 2023 from their first show (knocking at heaven´s gate) after hiatus and with new basser fami and how asami screams "weeeee aaaaare baaaack!!!! this band has no peer.

My friend you haven't seen Lovebites with their new bass player yet. Miho, the original bassist and founder of the band (who has been in every video you've seen so far) decided to leave the band in August 2021 for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus to take time recovering from the loss, while Asami and Miyako both got married and gave birth. Then in March/April 2022 they began holding bass auditions over the next several months and chose/hired Fami in October 2022. Fami was only 20 years old at the time, and is a phenom on bass. She has her own KZfaq channel with over 650K subscribers where she performs various bass covers. She joined Lovebites just as they were about to release their new comeback album, so she was only featured on a couple off their new songs. You can see her with the band in their four newest videos on the Lovebites channel. Start with "Judgement Day" live and be prepared to be blown away again!

There is nobody I have ever known like Miyako, for me personally, the greatest overall musician/artist/composer I have ever heard. She is the evil genius of this band, period. Guitar, piano, composer. That genius shows a lot with her stage presence, as in general she is the most stoic on stage with her concentration and playing for perfection. This particular song is The Miyako Show, period. Lovebites for me is the best collection of talent I have ever heard in one band, and they play with precision at elite/virtuoso levels. Without hesitation, with 50+ years of listening to metal behind me, to me this is the greatest metal band ever. I know greatest may allude to something different than favorite - I use both words interchangeably.

For a beginner in the world of reaction and reactors, I've seen more than a thousand on the Lovebites group, and I must say you're doing very well. Sincerity shines through on screen, and that's what we expect as viewers.

You expressed and demonstrated what many people feel, when they first witness this live video. It does not seem possible that a collection of talented ladies could 'gel' so well together. No ego's or prima donna complex from any member of Lovebites.

You know what's even more amazing than Miyako's talent on both the guitar and the piano (and more instruments)? She's a lovely Star Wars geek. Also, despite her "stoïc" nature on stage, she's actually a very smiling and friendly lady when she's not performing (her own channel is very interesting, you can see her rehearse on piano, talking about guitars, trying to make a strap, replacing condensers or pickups, visiting music shops an trying gear and so on). And she's a mum too.

Miyako learned piano from age 3 and self-taught the guitar at 18. Midori, at age 20, entered a music academy for guitar. It's never too late when you have talent that is insane. Miyako also plays bass and can do pretty good on the drums. Asami also plays the piano and has on video. Midori can build guitars, she attended a vocational school. In Tokyo's music district there is shop that has a guitar on display that Midori built, Not for sale. Not sure about Haruna, she began playing drums in high school. Also not sure about Miho, though most bassists can play the guitar. Miyako is the primary composer, though all have written songs. Asami is the prime lyricist, she is fluent in English. Lived in LA for a while. Their new bassist, Fami, plays keyboards, guitar, sings and writes music.

The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude." In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake. This is a band that plays all genres of metal. That's excellent! Yes, they are all muti talented. Miyako as you saw is superb on Piano and guitar. She also plays, bass and drums, is an excellent singer, and she's their main composer. Asami Vocal also plays piano some, and is a trained dancer, not exactly what style, I think it's ballet. Haruna Drums also plays piano, Midori, the blonde guitarist, not sure what else she plays, but she is also an award-winning body builder. And Fami their new bassist also plays guitar, piano, composes and is an excellent singer in her own right.

i love watching reactors come to the realization of just what the caliber of musicians is in Japan and why the frak we never get to hear these amazing groups over here what do we get stale commercialized rap and pop nonsense, country fraking pop and screaming growling wanna be metal groups who hide the fact they cannot play guitar by down tuning it to sub frequency hell ! there is a vey long list of groups From Japan that are just as good as these five musical angels hang in there and keep finding them

I think I watched this out of sync…I’ll find out in a minute, but this was the “oldest” of your three reactions on my timeline. I suspect Edge of the World was before this because of some of the references you made. Miyako-san often does a quick left hand drop during a song and I’d be willing to bet it’s to relax her fingers (especially if you consider what those fingers had done up to that point). Best band you will ever react to.

Yes all multi-talented. Miyako Guitar/Piano/Song Composer/lyricist. Asami. Singer/lyricist/Piano/Dancer. Rest as above all. All write/compose and think 4 out of original 5 played piano not miyakos level but high. But all DO PLAY VARIOUS INSTRUMENTS. OH Miyako also played all the bass parts when recording the album which WAS ready before new member joined. If anyone remembers the videos miyako said it and Fami said it BELIEVE Fami did it on her channel 1st appearence in video showing face no mask saying she got Lovebites Bass. Miyako either said in interview or her own channel as well. Please let me know if see it.
