In Nancy Meyers' The Holiday, a romantic comedy from the director of Something's Gotta Give and What Women Want, two women trade homes only to find that a change of address can change their lives. Iris (Winslet) is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda (Diaz), realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda's L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris' handsome brother Graham (Law) and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur (Wallach), mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles (Black).

@@sandramatras8345 she has daddy issues, nothing else. She likes the bond he has with his daughters and reminds her of her dad. Doesn't necessarily mean he is perfect for her. It's a psychological trick of her own mind.

Of course Jude and Cameron are amazing, but can we appreciate the driver? 😂 Looking back, realizing something's clearly going on... then when she's laughing and crying, and it seems like she's nuts, just rolling his eyes - "Americans" written ALL over his face. 😂😂😂

True artistry is...being able to STARTING to WELL UP and CRY and PRODUCE TEARS..in front of a rolling camera...as well as..SPRINTING in HIGH HEELS..through a slushy, slippery Englisch Countryside.....There are one in a million actors...who actually CAN DO THAT...Those actors do not PLAY a roll....they ARE IT when they do! Well done Cameron Diaz and Jude Law...thank you...for showing what true acting implies...being IT ...not pretending IT ;)

Ich mag diesen Film sehr! Genau richtige für kalte Dezember WinterAbend!❤❤❤ Was mir hier stört - das ist leider Djeck Bläck! - ihn mag ich gar nicht und niergenwo! Er sieht mit Gesicht absolut komisch aus , was für mich macht seine LibesRollen unrealistisch! Genau deswegen es tut mir um Kayt Winslent (sorry wenn nicht richtig geschrieben) und ihre ergendwie traurige Frauen Rolle echt leid.
