Just put him in for short periods of time and reward him with a small treat once you let him out. He will learn its not punishment. And try putting a blanket over the crate so it's dark

Some people have breed them with WHIPPETS making some IGs larger than they should be. Breed standards are 7 to 14 lbs..and 12" to 14" tall at the shoulders.
