I respect Gene SO much for standing up for himself to his dad. And his brother for having his back was just😭👏🏽👏🏽 Hearing about the end of this episode (tho not the details) was what made me decide to give it a chance and holy hell am i glad i did. This has been an EXCELLENT series so far. Really a cut above the rest.

This director has some real talent here, wtf. He’s able to make us understand the feelings of every character, even when we think differently. -For example the dad; yes he’s kinda homophobic, but not bc he doesn’t accept his son, but bc he’s afraid of his own sexuality. He was (likely) raised in a society that didn’t accept lgbt AT ALL. He married a woman bc otherwise he’d have a miserable life. Instead of actually trying to figure himself out, he lets fear turn into anger. It’s not healthy, but understandable. - then gene’s mom. She’s not homophobic, but I feel like she just sees them as brothers, bc they were close as kids. It just hits different in that way, but I really don’t think she’s against it at all. And she also supports his son in writing bl novels, so... yeah. Also, Let’s just talk about how she probably just found out that his husband had a boyfriend. Imagine you’re married to someone for over 25 years, then they tell you they’re gay or bi. That’s some shock. Imagine what she needs to through.... “did he only marry me bc his parents were against him being gay? Did he ever love me?”...

“It’s lucky me and your mom didn’t die out of shock” I know this is supposed to be hurtful, but the way he said it or maybe it the actor... it’s just so funny 😂😂🤚🏻

This ep got me thinking that Nueng and Jab are together 🤡

Watching the scene where both families are reacting badly to Gene and Sib, the only thought on my mind was thank god they're both adults who are financially independent.

Gene's family is so extra the posing in the dark as he comes in.

Wait.... Is everyone in Gene's house crying in the dark, alone in random rooms?

I feel like Gene's father will support but the main problem will be Sib's father.. Gene's father is already experienced so he would be their greatest supporter 😌🌈

The part where Gene's brother tells his dad that he's disappointed just hits hard cuz there's always parents telling their kids that they're disappointed of them for being gay but never a son or daughter calling off their parents about their harsh and unwanting behavior uhg simply love it

I love how Gene and Sib want to contact each other after the dinner scene but instead choose to deal with their emotions seperately first. Being in a relationship doesn't mean you lose your individuality; work on yourself and emotions first, calm down then talk about what's troubling you. Really good scene.

Gene’s father having a boyfriend has to be one of the biggest plot twists in BL history

The Moms were so happy fangirling about those fictional character untill they came to know their sons are dating each other.. That shows how easy it is to support fictional characters but when it comes to real couples they receive support from only a few.. Glad they are fighting for their love🌈 More power to everyone who lacks support..💜

Okay but I love how sib’s parents are going through this together. Usually it’s just the dad saying “leave me alone and do housewife stuff”. But they actually portraying healthy marriage here, thank you.

Another plot twist I wasn’t expecting at all 👀 the dad is either gay or bi etc, wonder how Gene found out (perhaps through the letters) and what happened between him and the other guy for him to be so fearful/against Gene’s relationship.

Unlike many BL series, this one offers a serene love story which involves real problems, consent, jealousy and everything and refrains from melodrama. I like how nubsib and gene stood by each other in desperate times.❤️❤️

I'm so happy that it didn't come out as "I don't like boys... I just like him" thing I was so tired of it This series never disappoints...

When Gene said his dad had a boyfriend before dating the mom, I screamed SO LOUD and hit rewind!

Gene's acting so realistic that I can't stop crying. I feel very painful in this scene it hurts.

The calmness of Sib's parents is unnerving to me... It feels like the calm before a storm

I think this is the most realistic, detailed coming-out scene in Thai BL history. They show us what happened to every single character after Sib and Gene came out, cos mostly are always rush and we just imagine it how the situation was solved.

When Gene’s dad told him to go upstairs, I immediately thought “This is a grown ass man with his own condo. He doesn’t HAVE to stay, tf?”

Homophobia really hurts, I'm ugly crying right now... It makes me think of my ex's parents, they were against our relationship and it was so stressful for us. I really hope people will stop hating LGBTQ+

Pensar que tienes que dejar a las persona que amaste con toda tu alma solo para encajar en la sociedad es la cosa más dolorosa que podría existir, es doloroso para todos los involucrados. Este capítulo me dejó impactada, me hizo pensar y sentir más allá de lo que esperaba. Verdaderamente estoy llorando demasiado, un agradecimiento a todo a aquel que participó en esta novela. Gracias a todas esas personas nosotros tenemos más de dónde aprender, reflexionar y darnos fuerzas.

What is super irritating is that nobody understands that Gene is bad at expressing himself, hence the whole being a writer, he expresses his feelings in another outlet, he writes his feelings instead of showing them or talking about them 🥺

So proud of Gene for speaking out so boldly even in the face of such antagonism.....equally proud of his brother too. In spite of himself, the dad (with his own curve ball history...Dayuuuum) raised two incredible sons.

I wish Gen and Sib had turned to each other and said. "Let's go back home." And then turned to their parents and said, "You know where to find us when you're ready to accept that we love each other."

I don't know if someone will read this but I have to tell it. I watched this episode last week and it meant so so much to me. The scene with Gene's dad did not only make me cry like a baby, but also gave me strength to come out to my grandmother. When Gene said that he wanted to be truthful to himself and to others I felt so identified. Even though this episode left me in so much pain, I am grateful for it because thankfully my coming out went well. I want to thank Lovely Writer for making such an important series that states such facts and helps so many people.

The brothers are TOTALLY crush-worthy and the parents are very dignified with the way they're handling this scene as well (to the most part). I am personally thoroughly impressed with what I am watching!

I was always wondering how Gene's dad knew they love each other since the beginning cause it won't be noticed usually by someone straight very easily like that. Now everything makes sense.

Those ever so slight nods by both of them starting at 1:36 convey so strong messages, that we don't need to hear them speak at that very moment. "It's okay, my bf... We shall endure... Let's go back to our places for the night..." Brilliant idea from the director, I guess!

The shot at 12:56 is so well framed. I just feel like it really captures the emotions of the scene and how you can feel trapped in a box even by the people who are supposed to be your family.

Todos lloramos en este capítulo, interna o externamente. Jab tiene mucha razón, todos nos equivocamos, no siempre vamos a tener la razón y es algo que nos cuesta entender a los adultos. Es como si el adulto siempre quisiera tener la razón por ser mayor y considerado "maduro", cuando es tremendamente absurdo. La razón va y viene. No siempre la vamos a tener, y vamos a cometer errores, y vamos a aprender cosas de niños, villanos, y cualquier persona que nos llegue a enseñar una lección. La riqueza está en aprender a aprender.

The series is the greatest, especially the characters. Gene and Sib deserve happiness. Parents should always respect their children's happiness.

The family fight scene is AMAZING. not just bc of that big plot twist but due to everything that happened in those minutes and how it was perfectly executed. gene admitting that he's gay in front of his dad, jab confronting his dad too, mom without knowing what to do after everything that happened. And then the scenes of all of them crying, gene and nubsib wanting to call each other but not pressing the button and the dad with his ex lover's gift? incredible.

This episode really means a lot to me. I know nobody cares about my life here but I feel like I was once in either Gene's or Sib's shoes but chose to track the life chosen by Gene's father-to settle down with a woman and leave the person that I used to be. I am already engaged and I think this is the best decision that I made for the sake of my inner peace. I have been battling since I was a kid and the mental and emotional devastation that I need to bear for being part of the third sex is just beyond words. I may be a coward, but people should understand that not all bi/gay people are capable of overcoming this level of mental and emotional stress. Once you get out of this shell, there is no turning back and I don't think I'll survive the world out there. I don't want to end up taking my own life for feeling really bad about myself. I know there's a lot of guys out there who feels the same way and would do the same thing I did. I hope this somehow comforts you by knowing that you are not alone. 😊

that look Gene made before coming in to their house.... i just knew he’ll fight for his Sib 🖤 i love his confidence and the way he stood up his ground. he knew there was nothing wrong with him and Sib. they’re just in love. for most asian household, coming out won’t be so easy. that’s why i love how this episode portrayed it so realistically.

I have to say: my brother is great. We fight a lot and we are always complaining about each other, but when I, been a girl, said that I date a girl, he was so "okay, sis". This support is essencial for me these days.

Believe it or not but in the previous part of this episode, I said, "Damn, Gene's dad's gaydar is pretty strong....Sir what have you been doing during your youth?" And when I tell you I GASPED when I found out about the boyfriend cuz...it all just makes so much sense now

When I started watching this series, I thought it was going to be another run-of-the-mill BL series. As the episodes progressed, I grew more invested in the brilliant actors and awesome script. This episode is the most engaging so far, keeping me at the edge of my seat - and that’s not easy. I’ve to give props to the acting skills of the cast as they really immersed themselves into their roles which made this 1 of the 2 best series I’ve enjoyed to date. Kudos to everyone involved and cheers! 🥂😄👏🏼

Im really glad I didn't drop this series. Episode one didn't really grab me personally, but I stayed for Gene, and I'm really glad I did. I love his character and how he's grown.

I think this show blends everything together pretty nicely, we get the fluff and cuteness but we still get to see the real issues that exist in today’s world and the bl industry, well done.
