My husband came over yesterday. For the first time in 8 years of being separated. And asked me how we could move forward and get beck together.! I thought I would be so excited that he would say that. But I went forward to unpack some of our issues. Of which I believe the one thing I felt the most was not being seen and not being heard by him. Well it got nowhere. His last words were, as he got up to leave. Well I tried!

Hope we get to where these folks are. Takes a lot of humility and commitment Exodus14:14. The lord will fight for u... all u need to do is be still.

This sounds like a genuine pathway. My question is what about when the theological journey is not similar, for example Jewish and Catholic? Is there hope for the relationship without expecting the other to convert? Find common ground?

This was a very interesting subject, and I'm glad Episode 2 addressed the husband's fear. I am curious to wonder what would have happened if he had repented of his fear-based, passive, pride-oriented approach to life and worked on communicating honestly and openly with his wife and others before she had her epiphany. I somehow think she would have come around a lot faster than he did. Two years was a long time to wait for him to see the light and begin to work on his issues. I'm glad he did, but I haven't read the book to see if they address this question.

Oh, so hard for me to even open my mouth. Being a pastor’s wife it’s a really hard place to be on this earth. Just patiently waiting for Jesus’ coming with His rearward one day.

Pray together? Ha! Every time I tried to do that it quickly ended. She would psychoanalyze my prayers and attempt to do an interrogation and demand that I confess whatever nonsense that she thought I was hiding from her based on what I said or didn't say. Same with love notes and cards. No amount of love was ever enough. Eternal presumption of guilt. It is finally ending. After 24 years of my commitment, she has rewarded my loyalty by trying to convince me to commit suicide - all while posting endless FB sayings and Bible verses to virtue signal to show the world that she is a heroic victim. I have no recourse but to end the marriage for my safety and that of the kids, most of whom see through her vanity. (Yes, we tried biblical counseling, but she rejects any accountability and advice from family, friends, pastors, everybody.) So, so sad.
