I was 11 when this came out and I absolutely hated it. Fast forward a few decades and you really appreciate how good music was back in those days!

1985 was the year I really got into music This was a big Summer hit here in the UK spending 4 weeks at number 1 - Great memories. (It only made number 75 in the U.S.- what were they thinking??)

😂. This video is class! Mt Mailman only being a few years older requires a bit of a stretch though!

This song reminds me of my 1st wife. I would do ANYTHING for her to ask a DJ to have that played for me now.

This is another one of my favourites from the decade, and one I remember quite fondly. I was in infant school when this came out and I remember during the school holidays my school were holding what was essentially 'Activity Days' where the school was open and the pupils could come and make things, paint, generally play games etc. I can remember one instance when, with the teacher out the room, the girls pushed all the desks in the middle of the room, got on top and started singing this in front of everyone. It's a memory I'll always have.😃

@@TMcB23 Geoffrey Hughes, 'Onslow' in Keeping Up Appearances, played 'Vernon Scripps' in Heartbeat. William Simons played 'Alf Ventriss' in Heartbeat 🖒😊💖. Brilliant character actors and sadly missed. 😔💖

The 552nd UK #1. A departure from the year's signature sound, this number is quite soulful and not a stereotypical electronica song. I don't think this is a brilliant song, but at least I can take a break from the everlasting reign of DRAKE!!!! 6.7/10 ("OK")
