You HAVE TO be kidding me. This is WAY easier than cauliflower, and imo tastier and cheaper too! I literally just bought a cheap bag of lentils, threw em in the nutra bullet with water, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder and a pinch of salt, just eyeballing the ratios, poured into a sprayed cake pan, and baked in my glass infrared convection oven thingy for like 20 min at 350. Came out kinda like a doughy pizza crust, delicious! Even my kids ate it up! Can't wait to use my soaked lentils tomorrow and actually put some effort into it lol you're a godsend!

This recipe was amazing !!! I used can sauce because it’s faster but the crust came out so amazing! Way better than the cauliflower! Truly greatful! If anyone is hesitant to try it just do it ! You won’t regret it ! ( I used chickpeas)

I tried this with chickpeas. Soaked them and made the batter as directed however, i didn’t have a cast iron pan so i decided to use a regular pizza plate (with wholes). I lined the pizza plate with baking paper and poured the batter on. Baked for 20 mins then took it out and flipped it around and pealed the paper off. Then back in the oven to bake with bottom side up for another 10 mins. I was so surprised it worked as on your blog you mentioned chickpeas are slightly tricker. Pizza definitely turned out like pizza. Obviously slightly different taste to regular pizza flour base pizza but close enough. I was impressed. Thank you so so much for this recipe. Its going to be one of my go to recipes.

I made this at home. The first batch I followed the recipe using soaked chickpeas but added in some Rosemary, Oregano, Ginger, Turmeric, Chilli flakes and Black pepper. It turned out okay but I found it really lacked body and flavour. I made a second batch using different ratios for the spices and added in some Cumin and Cayenne pepper. Instead of using soaked chickpeas and water, I used soft cooked chickpeas, coconut cream and coconut milk. I had to use more liquid for the cooked chickpeas then the soaked chickpeas to get a batter I could work with but the flavor turned out really well, creamy, spicy and fuel of body. @@boredshrimp9425 No it wasn't , but I didn't wait long for it to get crispy, I only waited till it's cooked so I can put on my toppings. However, I think to guarantee it getting crispy if you'd like, then you better use a large flat baking pan, to make the dough or batter thin, and by that it'll get crispy. I'd recommend to keep a close eye on it so it wouldn't burn. Hope this helps.

As for the sauce I do it from scratch out of organic veggies,it's a sauce I created tomatoes, carrots ,green bell pepper(all veggies puréed),then oregano, black pepper grinded,Himalayan salt,what do you think of that sauce version,it takes time but it's worthy,if I'm ever in a hurry,I'll try urs for sure. Tried it with red lentils. Really good taste and consistency! But I had one big problem. Every crust stuck very much to the cast iron. I oiled the pan with olive oil as well... Frustrating when taste is good but the crispy bottom stuck to the pan :(

I found a way to solve this my self. When I take the preheated pan out of the oven to pour the dough to the pan, I put the pan on the stove to rise the temperature even further. I find when the pan is making frying noises when the dough hits the surface the pan is hot enough. When I take the crust out of the oven, the bottom now slips totally by itself :) So the issue must have been that the pan was not hot enough at first.
