Slick trick will do anything, in North America for any animal!

For those who care, I shoot a Mathews no cam @ 60lbs with a 26 1/2 inch draw length. I used to shoot the 85-grain Wacems but they have been discontinued. So I have switched to the 85-grain Falcon from Innelroc. That being said I have shot and killed two bull elk, one with the Wacems and the other with the Falcon. Both were pass through and the Wacem even broke a rib. So, in my opinion, it doesn't matter what grain of broadhead you put on that arrow to kill big game. Keep in mind your spine of the arrow and good arrow flight out of the bow is going to be the most important. Good luck.

I shot Rage 2 blades at 45lbs when I started and they were not low KE per say. I took 10 deer with them and had no flight or penetration issues. One of those 10 deer was not a pass through. Fast forward to today, I have been using two Blade Magnus stingers as I shoot a recurve now. Looking back, this would have been a great choice for a compound at 45Lbs too. It may very well still be one of the best choices for any low KE setup out there. Appreciate the video.

The rage did better than i thought, but I'll still take the Slick Trick over Rage.

Wow, 3 year old video just popped up for my feed. I didn’t know Rage made a “low KE” head. Did better than I thought. My opinion-perfect arrow flight, good integrity, and razor sharp blades are the most important pieces of the penetration puzzle. But I’m no expert, just some guy watching KZfaq videos. :)

4 blade vs 2 blade. I’ll always put fixed heads thru a light poundage short draw bow.

Use a fixed. Never fails to "deploy". If you're having troubles getting PERFECT arrow flight get the bow tuned up. A PROPERLY TUNED BOW WILL SHOOT FIXED BLADE HEADS PERFECTLY!!! And be there shooting your bow when it's being tuned /retuned. The bow must perform for YOU, not someone else. This is a mistake many make.

Here in New Mexico throw your rage away if your hunting elk!!!..Nothing worse to see a grown man cry when you see a rage bounce off a elk...

Important to note there are 4 blades on the trick and only 2 on the rage....I believe either will get the job done and your gonna be hard pressed to get it through a bone anyway you go...even a higher ke bow hitting that main bone in a mature whitetail shoulder will struggle

Kinetic energy is only part of the penetration, adding forward weight changes FOC and the higher FOC the more stable the arrow is and in turn more penetration.. Just my opinion, no disrespect intended.

I shoot 60lbs do you think a100gr. Rage would be ok

I'm a expandable fan but if trad guys are bowing through animals at 160 170 fps fixed especially cut on contacts speaks for themselves.

How much did that arrow weigh? How much weight did you have in that outsert/half out?

☆☆☆WHAT ABOUT ☆☆☆ They original 100gr.Rage KE Broadhead???????????????? My wife has shot them for years & gotten complete pass-thru's @ 41yds shooting 39lbs - 25" draw with Carbon Express Maxima hunter arrows - I have shot these broadheads from a PSE FULL THROTTLE with NO issue's - ONLY difference is they have a 1-1/2" cut VS 2"cut compared to standard RAGE 100gr.

What do you consider a low KE? Im shooting a 50lb @ 27" and the arrows with a 100 grain head are 376 grains

Foam and live animals are very different

It kills me how people become so loyal to a broadhead regardless of physics. Fixed blades are superior to expendables and its not even close

The arrows carry momentum not kinetic energy.

Back it up to 20 if she's shooting 20 and let her shoot.

All these test are BS shooting at target you don’t have the excitement emotions in real life hunting . She should be shooting cut on contact broad heads . I’m sure if big buck comes out there at 30 she will shoot a head at it . It only ten yards more . When your hunting with mechanicals in bad weather or winter time and that head freezes shut you could have a big problem shooting low poundage bow .
