I've been having dreams about meeting my "dream woman"/soul mate lately, and it's simultaneously beautiful but ridiculously depressing when I wake up. The love just feels so real. They confess their love for you, you feel complete, an overwhelming happiness. And then you wake up, alone. And it's all gone

That´s sadly the fate of thousands in this world where love is the rarest occurence of all... sometimes it does´nt even visit the dreams.

Very rarely will I have a dream where someone loves me. Maybe once every 18 months, but when it happens, you feel total bliss in your dream. It’s uncanny how real you think it is. But once you wake up, the dawn of reality feels every so dry and dead. You compare the two and you just want to be asleep for ever, where your dreams are more enjoyable than life. But once you forget the dream, you slip back into the void of reality and fall back into it’s mundane nature, where you forget how boring and repetitive it really is. The wool is pulled over your eyes until the next dream. I keep telling myself I don’t want anyone, and for a period of time I believe it and feel good about it. But then times come by where you hear a song, see a video, see someone else’s moment and it strikes you. Suppressing your human nature for intimacy is difficult. Whenever I feel the deep urge for it whilst engaging in the song, video, or moment I have to pull myself away from it and change my focus. The sad feeling that resonates in my chest isn’t a pain I want to be familiar with, nor a feeling I want to feel at all. Dating is very hard, the hardest it’s ever been and it’s only getting harder as the years pass. Real love is hard to find, so I won’t waste my time. I just hope there comes a point I can starve this feeling to death, and completely overcome bouts of loneliness and sadness. Though I’m 25, I see myself as never entering another relationship again. I predict I’ll be single the rest of my life, and I think I’m okay with that. I’ve experienced a relationship before, it’s nice. It’s really nice, but there are other pleasures to life outside of it. It’s sad in a way because humans are meant to be intimate, replicating is in our very DNA. So to miss out on it is rather upsetting. But all we can do is keep our chins up high, and pursue our own greatness and feats.

I loved my ex so much, he was my everything. Everything was going so perfect, i finally felt alive and happy. I was struggling a long time with depression, anxiety and ptsd and when he came into my life i had an euphoric state 24h, he made me really happy... We ve been together 3 years which was the most beautiful years of my life. We did a lot of crazy stuff together. He was so gentle and romantic with me but he suddenly changed. I woke up with a message from him telling me that he got bored and that he wanted to try something new. I was devastated. I thought that maybe its something wrong with me. 1 week after we broke up, i saw him walking the street with his new girlfriend. He was pretending that he doesnt know me, i was only a stranger for him. I cried a lot... i was heartbroken and dead inside. In that night i got dressed with the most beautiful black dress i had. A long satin dress with silver heels and red lipstick on. At 2 am i went to the place where we first meet and i got drunk while listening to this song. Everyone is telling me that he didnt deserve me, that im very beautiful and i will find someone new, but i cant. Im afraid of love and what it can do to me.

How sad it's have dreams about love

Depression is addictive and strangely comfortable.

This is the song that I tried to end my life on almost three years ago. It still sends shivers through my spine everytime I hear it.

Last night I actually dreamt that someone loved me. I can’t remember his face or name but I remember feeling comfort and just being held and being able to cry with someone. Sometimes waking up is the hardest thing you can do.

I’ve had dreams where I was in love with someone with brown hair and dark eyes and he just held me in his arms. So surreal waking up to the pitch black darkness of your room after having been where some might call complete and total bliss. The warmness of a lover to the cool but unforgiving covers.

Looking at the comments, as a girl who still hasn't fall in love yet, im kind of afraid for what's coming.

I used to listen to this earlier this year, when i was depressed, anxious, self harmed and had suicidal thoughts. Now, i have it better. I'm so proud that i'm alive now. But sometimes, i feel like that again... It's so weird, because i am the only one that know how bad i felt and still feel, makes it kinda harder somtimes because i have no one to talk to about it.

i always do this, not just when the night comes

first time i listened to this song i was worried about the person i love, i told myself that i found my true love, but it came with pain, every time i feel pain and depressed i try to hide it by work, now days in quarantine i feel that love pain and the pain that i am home 24/7 and the pain of loosing people forever and the physical pain for working so much to hide that emotional pain, i know when depression collapse again i will forget the emotional pain reasons but i will still feel it inside.

i miss having no one to think about. i was single for so long. it should have stayed that way.

Ever since she left, October 25th when she took that plane, I haven't stopped having dreams that everything is fine. I hate waking up.
